“Worst QB in college football” “Stinks”: NFL followers rip Arch Manning over throwing horrible “meatball sub” incompletion vs. Florida

Arch Manning is coming off a disappointing stretch for Texas, having thrown two interceptions in last weekend’s upset defeat to Oklahoma, one of which was returned for a touchdown.

The quarterback was looking to respond against Florida on Saturday, but his first-half performance offered little encouragement. Manning completed eight of 12 attempts for 68 yards and failed to record a touchdown. One of his throws, a deep pass into double coverage, particularly caught fans’ attention and raised further concerns about his decision-making.

The clip quickly sparked criticism on X, with several fans taking aim at Manning’s performance. Here are some of the reactions.

“Already in Jets form,” one fan wrote.

“Weekly meatball sub,” one said.

“Arch Manning is an average at best QB with an elite last name. That’s it,” one added.

“Arch Manning genuinely could be the worst QB in college football,” one comment read.

“Can we be honest and call a spade a spade? Arch Manning stinks and would be a waste of a draft pick,” one fan added.

Before facing Florida, Arch Manning had completed 63% of his passes for 1,122 yards, recording 10 touchdown passes and five interceptions.

Arch Manning’s struggles continue as Texas loses second straight game on Saturday

Arch Manning endured another disappointing finish on Saturday, committing a costly fumble in the closing minutes of a 27-24 loss to Florida. The defeat marked the 4-2 Texas Longhorns‘ second straight loss, while Manning recorded a fourth-quarter turnover for the second consecutive game.

Trailing 27-24 with 1:58 left on the clock, Manning lost possession after Florida linebacker Myles Graham delivered a strip-sack. The turnover derailed Texas’ hopes of finding a late equalizer or potentially taking the lead.

The latest mistake brings Manning’s total to three fourth-quarter turnovers over his past two games. He completed 14 of 20 passes for 173 yards and a touchdown against Florida, throwing no interceptions but losing a fumble.

Manning’s completion rate stands at 67.1% across his last three SEC appearances. However, he has averaged just over 211 passing yards per game over that span, with three touchdown passes and three interceptions.
