CM Punk has been called out over his actions at a recent WWE live event. Kevin Nash previously commented on Punk’s performance on the December 22 episode of RAW, expressing disappointment over The Second City Saint wrestling in a t-shirt and stating that he looked unimpressive in the bout.
The WWE legend thought that it was time for Punk to retire. The Best in the World subtly reacted to Nash’s comments at a live event, where he faced Bronson Reed for the World Heavyweight Championship. Before the bout, Punk took off his t-shirt only to reveal another underneath, and continued to compete in it.
Thanks for the submission!
Nash has responded to Punk trolling him. Speaking on a recent episode of the Kliq THIS podcast, the veteran fired shots at The Second City Saint. Nash talked about his rivalry with The Second City Saint in 2011, claiming that he wasn’t allowed to cut a promo and respond to Punk.
The WWE Hall of Famer then mentioned that CM Punk had fallen victim to the “indy t-shirt.” Here’s what Nash had to say:
“Wouldn’t it be easier to just go to the gym? You know what? This is the thing that kills me. Me and Punk were supposed to wrestle. We never wrestled. I’m 50-something years old when I come back, and he gives me the whole bullsh*t about LOL, thought you were dead, and all that sh*t. And I’m not allowed to comment back because I’ve been told by Vince that I’m not allowed to cut a promo. And here he is… how old is Phil now? 48? He’s already fallen victim to the indy t-shirt.”
CM Punk will defend the World Heavyweight Championship against Bron Breakker on RAW
CM Punk is set to face Bron Breakker on the upcoming episode of RAW. The Dog of WWE pinned The Second City Saint in the Men’s WarGames Match at Survivor Series 2025 to earn this shot.
The episode seems to be a must-see affair, with multiple title matches scheduled for the show. It will be interesting to see what the Triple H-led creative team has in store for fans.
