WWE information: Bianca Belair’s WrestleMania 42 alternative

The wait for Bianca Belair’s return to WWE television continues.

With WrestleMania 42 right around the corner, there’s no word yet on whether she will be able to wrestle in Las Vegas.

It seems like her prolonged absence has forced the creative to discuss a potential replacement in case she misses the Show of Shows this year.

The EST of WWE missed the majority of 2025, which is the longest stretch of time off she has had since joining the Stamford-based promotion.

She was last seen in action at WrestleMania 41, where she failed to dethrone then-Women’s World Champion IYO SKY in a Triple Threat Match, also featuring Rhea Ripley.

During the match, she broke her knuckle joint, which required surgery to correct the issue. However, Belair was hoping to avoid it and let her finger heal naturally.

She has since made only one appearance, and that too in a non-wrestling capacity. She served as a special guest referee for Naomi vs. Jade Cargill at Evolution.

Bianca Belair has been heavily rumored to challenge Jade Cargill for the WWE Women’s Championship at WrestleMania 42. However, her window on a title shot has likely closed after she missed the Royal Rumble in Saudi Arabia.

It was previously reported that the EST of WWE is expected to be at WrestleMania 42, though the nature of her role remains unclear.

In an update from WrestleVotes via Fightful Select, the creative has yet to determine the direction for the WWE Women’s Championship picture at the Show of Shows.

Charlotte Flair and Tiffany Stratton have been discussed to face Jade Cargill. Cory Hays of BodySlam reported that the Queen stands out among all the possibilities should the EST fail to make it to WrestleMania 42.

What’s next for Jade Cargill on WWE SmackDown?

Jade Cargill has been the Women’s Champion for over 100 days.

However, the Storm hasn’t been a fighting champion since winning the gold last year. She has yet to defend her title on television. But that changes on SmackDown this Friday when she puts her title on the line against a familiar face.

Jade Cargill will slug it out with Jordynne Grace over the Women’s Championship. The two women have been at each other’s throats for quite some time.

Will Grace do the unthinkable and end Cargill’s fairytale run? Only time will tell.
