AJ Styles’ son, Avery Styles, is all set to lace up his wrestling boots later this month. The WWE legend will play a crucial role in his son’s debut match.
The Phenomenal One recently revealed that his son was training to become a pro wrestler. Last month, Avery Styles posted a video on his Instagram Story performing the former WWE Champion’s iconic Spiral Tap maneuver to perfection. AJ primarily used the high-flying move during his time in TNA Wrestling and NJPW.
Thanks for the submission!
Avery Styles will make his in-ring debut under the Squared Circle Action Wrestling banner. He will face off against Ashton Martin in a one-on-one match at SCA Freedom Fling. The event will take place on Friday, June 26, 2026, at Royston Dome, Georgia. AJ Styles will be in Avery’s corner for the contest.

AJ Styles retired from in-ring competition earlier this year at the Royal Rumble Premium Live Event. He lost to Gunther in his last-ever wrestling match via submission. The Phenomenal One later revealed that he was now on a quest to identify and groom the next generation of pro wrestlers.
WWE Legend AJ Styles Made a Bold Claim Following Retirement
AJ Styles is among the most decorated pro wrestlers in the world. He won championships in top promotions, such as TNA, ROH, NJPW, and WWE. However, in the final years of his in-ring career, The Phenomenal One suffered defeat in many high-profile matches.
Styles lost to top names like Logan Paul, Dominik Mysterio, John Cena, and Gunther between April 2025 and January 2026. On his Phenomenally Retro podcast, the legend claimed that wins and losses didn’t matter in pro wrestling. The Phenomenal One said he focused on delivering good stories through his bouts in his career.
“To tell you the truth, you probably wouldn’t remember whether or not I win [sic] or lost unless somebody went through and wrote it all down because it’s not that important. Guys win and lose all the time. So it’s best served where it’s at in the story. That’s what means the most to me. I couldn’t care less about wins and losses. They don’t mean anything. This is a show. This is pure entertainment. This isn’t the UFC. That’s the biggest difference,” Styles said. (H/T: WrestlePurists)
The former world champion was inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame before WrestleMania 42. He joined legends like Stephanie McMahon, Sid Vicious, and Demolition in the Class of 2026.
