WWE Superstar and Cody Rhodes’ arch-rival, Drew McIntyre, did the unthinkable post-SmackDown. The two superstars are set to cross paths in a huge Three Stages of Hell Match next week on the blue brand.
The feud between Rhodes and McIntyre has been going on for months. Rhodes successfully defended the title against the Scotsman at Wrestlepalooza. But the feud between them was far from over, with McIntyre constantly setting his sights on The American Nightmare.
Thanks for the submission!
On SmackDown, McIntyre burned a Rhodes family photo, while the champion was forced to watch. Post-show, the former World Heavyweight Champion shared photos of him urinating on Rhodes’ tour bus.

Drew McIntyre opened up about not getting to face John Cena during his WWE retirement tour
Drew McIntyre didn’t get the chance to face John Cena during his retirement tour. However, Cena did share the ring twice with Cody Rhodes, whom he dethroned at WrestleMania 41 to win the Undisputed WWE Championship. Cena’s 17th reign as a World Champion ended at the hands of Rhodes at SummerSlam 2025.
Speaking to ESPN, McIntyre had this to say about not facing Cena:
“I mean, he’s meant everything to our industry. When The Rock and Stone Cold Steve Austin, you know, left WWE, the top superstars of Triple H, Shawn Michaels, were at the end of their career. The company and the world needed somebody to step up into that top position. John stepped up in a massive way for multiple generations. And it’s insane to say that he’s about to have his last couple of matches. I’m sad I didn’t get one of them, but I’m glad I’m part of the roster. I’m glad I got to travel the world. I’m glad I got to learn from John Cena because he is a legend, and he may just be the GOAT.”
McIntyre and Rhodes will cross paths next week on SmackDown.
