WWE veteran feedback on Ronda Rousey probably by no means returning to AEW

A former WWE name has addressed recent reports that Ronda Rousey will never return to AEW.

MMA legend and former WWE star Ronda Rousey shocked the world when she appeared on AEW TV for the first time at Revolution 2026. The Baddest Woman on the Planet came to support her longtime friend Marina Shafir after her loss to Toni Storm at the pay-per-view. Many fans believed this would start a new rivalry between Rousey and the Timeless star. However, recent news that Storm has left the Jacksonville-based promotion for a long time has put those rumors to rest.

Meanwhile, speculation about Rousey’s future in AEW has also decreased after the MMA legend shared on her blog that her appearance at Revolution was to promote her upcoming fight on Netflix, in a way that took shots at TKO, as both RAW and SmackDown Live! are streamed weekly on the OTT platform. Now, veteran Dutch Mantell has weighed in on the possibility that Rousey may never return to All Elite Wrestling. Speaking on the latest episode of his Story Time with Dutch Mantell podcast, the former WWE manager said he wasn’t worried about it since Rousey has never really understood pro-wrestling.

“I am not sad because I don’t think Ronda Rousey ever got pro-wrestling,” Mantell said (1:15:50 – 1:15:57)

WWE veteran Jim Cornette knew Ronda Rousey wasn’t signing a long-term deal with AEW

In a recent edition of his Drive Thru podcast, ex-WWE name Jim Cornette said that he already knew that Ronda Rousey was not going to sign a long-term deal with AEW despite her appearance at Revolution 2026. The veteran said that Rousey was only there to support her friend, Marina Shafir, and to promote her fight.

“I didn’t think that this was going to enter a phase of Ronda’s new career. That’s what I was saying, as the wrestling fans know that she hates this and hated them at this point. So they’re going to boo her, that’s not really a giant help for any company at this point. But that’s what it was, because I get to hang out with Marina (Shafir) or whatever, and that’s what it turns out to,” Cornette said [1:57-2:26]

Time will reveal if fans will see Ronda Rousey in a professional wrestling ring again.
