Triple H and Tony Khan are two of the most influential personalities in professional wrestling today. Both of them are at the helm of their respective companies as creative heads. Fans often compare their booking styles online. But recently, a WWE veteran took a shot at The Game while revealing his motivation to work with Tony Khan.
Former WWE writer Vince Russo recently had an interview with Tony Khan. During this interview, the AEW President answered every question from the WWE veteran with sharp responses. On the other hand, fans often criticize Triple H for avoiding such sort of interviews with wrestling names. People have developed a belief that it may be due to The Game’s controversial booking ideas.
Speaking with Chris Jericho on Talk Is Jericho, Russo revealed that he wanted to understand the booking philosophy of Tony Khan. Therefore, he was eager to interview the AEW President for a long time. The former WWE writer praised the 43-year-old for openly sharing his ideas and taking the time to explain his thought process clearly to others. However, Russo claimed that Triple H would never do such an interview with him at any point, which he believes is a massive problem.
“I wanted to interview Tony Khan. And Chris, here’s why I wanted to interview Khan. Bro, I wanted to really understand how he thinks. You know, there’s a reason why Tony does what he does. Bro, I asked Tony a lot of tough questions and the reason why was I wanted to understand Tony why do you do the things you do? I just want to get a better understanding and also made suggestions to him and he listened and we had a great great conversation. Bro that’s another big problem with with with wrestling today. You got a guy like Triple H. Obviously they’re having a problem creatively. Is Triple H ever going to have a conversation with me? Absolutely not,” said Russo.

Tony Khan revealed his father initially did not support launching AEW
Tony Khan started AEW back in 2019 with The Elite. Initially, the company was another independent wrestling promotion. However, over the years, it has become a rival to a giant like WWE. Recently, Khan revealed that his father, Shahid Khan, initially did not believe in the idea of a pro-wrestling company.
Speaking on The WHIP Show, Khan said that his father did not support him in launching a pro-wrestling promotion. However, as the years passed and he witnessed the growth of the company, Shahid became a true supporter. The AEW President even gave credit to his father for being there during the true rise of AEW.
“My father has said on the record that he did not believe in the idea and he was not supportive of the idea originally, but he’s since become a huge believer in AEW, and he’s the reason I was able to launch this promotion and get it off the ground with his support,” said Khan. [H/T: 411Mania]
Over the past year, All Elite Wrestling has managed to pull a lot of fans into the world of pro wrestling. Only time will tell what this company will be doing from here on. Khan will be hosting the All In event in London in August, which will be a massive show for the company.
