Rose break up the 1984 season between the Cincinnati Purple and the Expos, taking part in 95 video games. He hit his 4,000th profession hit as an Expo (in opposition to the Phillies to actually rub some dust in it), turning into the second participant to even have 4,000 hits within the MLB, behind Ty Cobb. He finally handed Cobb and holds the all-time profession hits document with 4,256.
