White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt shared a screenshot of a text messge exchange on X on Monday, showing her demolishing a Huffington Post reporter who tried to ask her a biased question.
The question surrounded a location for the President to hold peace talks with Putin and Zelensky after the President spoke with the two leaders last week.
As The Gateway Pundit repored, Hungary was rumored to be the center of a trilateral meeting between President Trump, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, and Russian President Vladimir Putin after Trump held a multilateral meeting with Zelensky and European leaders at the White House in August.

The reporter, Huff Post White House correspondent, S.V. Date, texted Leavitt, apparently on Ukraine’s behalf, asking why they would hold the meeting in Budapest, given the historical significance of the location.
“Is the president aware of the significance of Budapest? In 1994, Russia promised, in Budapest, not to invade Ukraine if it gave up the nuclear weapons it inherited when the Soviet Union dissolved. Does he not see why Ukraine might object to that site? Who suggested Budapest?” Date wrote Leavitt.
She responded simply to the question of “Who suggested Budapest,” stating “Your mom did.”
Date replied, “Is this funny to you?” and Leavitt tore him to shreds.
“It’s funny to me that you actually consider yourself a journal. You are a far left hack who nobody takes seriously, including your colleagues in the media, they just don’t tell you that to your face. Stop texting me your disingenuous, biased, and bullshit questions,” she said.
Leavitt posted a screenshot of the text exchange on X, slamming Date for “bombard[ing] my phone with Democrat talking points.”
For context, S.V. Dáte of the Huffington Post is not a journalist interested in the facts. He is a left-wing hack who has consistently attacked President Trump for years and constantly bombards my phone with Democrat talking points.

According to the outlet’s story, White House Communications Director Steven Cheung was more direct, writing to the reporter’s inquirry, “Your mom.” Date wrote that the outlet is “devastated” and “fearful of asking any more questions”

After President Donald Trump touted yet another meeting with his benefactor/murderous dictator Vladimir Putin Thursday, this time in Budapest, HuffPost contacted his top spokespeople at the White House with an obvious question: Why Budapest?
After all, the Hungarian capital was the site of the 1994 Budapest Memorandum, in which Ukraine gave up the thousands of nuclear weapons it had inherited upon the breakup of the Soviet Union in return for assurances that Russia would respect Ukraine’s territorial integrity.
Putin broke that promise with his 2014 invasion and annexation of Crimea, with his decade-long military offensive in the Donbas region, and then with his all-out invasion in 2022. He continues killing Ukrainian civilians in their homes to this day with regular drone and missile attacks.
