YouTube has announced that it will host its annual “Brandcast” event on May 14th, where it will showcase its latest ad products and innovations, in order to help marketers tap into its massive reach.
As per YouTube:
“On Wednesday, May 14 at 5:30pm ET, YouTube CEO Neal Mohan, YouTube CBO Mary Ellen Coe and Google President Sean Downey, alongside top creators and artists, will take the stage live at Lincoln Center to host Brandcast — YouTube’s annual Upfront. It’s the prime opportunity for advertisers to learn how to leverage the moments and momentum of the platform. TV has now surpassed mobile and is the primary device for YouTube viewing in the U.S. (by watch time), and YouTube has been #1 in streaming watch time in the U.S. for more than two years, according to Nielsen.”
YouTube says that Brandcast 2025 will highlight how YouTube has “redefined entertainment” by enabling creators to take center stage, and build massive media empires of their own, via their YouTube presence.
Supporting this will be creators MrBeast (who’s also reportedly working on his own creator academy to teach people his secrets) and Brittany Broski, who’ll both present at the event.
The musical guest for the event will be Lady Gaga, fresh off the launch of her latest album.
“14-time Grammy Award winner Lady Gaga will also grace the stage at Brandcast, celebrating her iconic presence on YouTube over the past 20 years. From her billion-view music videos, to viral fan moments — Gaga’s “little monsters” come to life on YouTube, where fandom goes beyond views to become a place for conversations and community.”
For marketers, this could be a key event, with YouTube sharing new usage data and ad info to help maximize your campaigns in the app.
And you can bet that there’ll be a lot of talk about AI, and the rising use of AI tools among creators and advertisers.
Should be an interesting overview. You can learn more about Brandcast 2025 here.
