YouTube Shares Top Trends of 2025 and Personal Recaps

YouTube has launched its first-ever recap summary, which looks at the top trends and creators in the app from 2025, while it’s also launching a personalized summary of users’ own top content trends in the app for the year.

First off, on YouTube trends. As you can see in the overview below, YouTube has shared a full listing of the top performing content in a range of categories.

This is the U.S. listing, but YouTube has also provided similar summaries for Korea, Germany, Mexico, India, France, Middle East and North Africa, Indonesia, the U.K., Brazil, Japan and Canada, which you can access here.

In the U.S., MrBeast remains the most popular creator, taking out the title for the sixth year in a row.

As per YouTube:

He’s joined by IShowSpeed, who pushed the limits of livestreams with his 24/7 IRL streams across the country, and CoryxKenshin, whose passionate fan base has purchased hundreds of thousands of copies of his self-published manga series.

Top topics, meanwhile (as assessed by the YouTube Culture and Trends team), include Squid Game, K-Pop Demon Hunters and Labubu, among other trends. These are the trends that saw an above average jump throughout the year, while the other categories are based purely on content performance.

The rankings provide an interesting overview of the year that was, and what grabbed our attention throughout, while they also provide some interesting food for thought for content creators, by highlighting which channels and stars are resonating with YouTube users.

The inclusion of podcasts is also interesting. Podcasts have become a major element of the YouTube experience, and it’s interesting to note which podcasts are boosting their audience through visual accompaniment.

In addition to these overall trend lists, YouTube is also giving users the opportunity to check out their own YouTube viewing trends from 2025, with a personal recap being rolled out to all users.
