4 WWE rumors we hope are true and a couple of we hope aren’t

Welcome to the latest edition of WWE rumors we hope are true, and we hope aren’t. The Sports Entertainment juggernaut is inching towards Night of Champions 2026.

Already, the company has announced the King & Queen of the Ring tournament. On RAW after the Clash in Italy, Oba Femi and IYO Sky qualified for the semi-final round.

This article will discuss the ongoing rumors and hope for four WWE rumors to be true, and two we hope aren’t.

#4. Hope true: Liv Morgan Queen of the Ring tournament update

Liv Morgan is the current Women’s World Champion on Monday Night RAW. Despite being the title holder, WWE announced Morgan as part of the Queen of the Ring tournament. The reveal surprised many as the winner of QOTR earns a Championship match, and Liv is already the Champion.

A recent report disclosed that Liv Morgan has been added to the Queen of the Ring tournament due to Stephanie Vaquer’s injury. The insider confirmed that Liv and Stephanie were supposed to continue their rivalry post-WrestleMania 42.

However, the La Primera injury led to a change in plans. Following this, WWE had no choice but to put the Women’s World Champion in this tournament. We hope the rumor is true.

This implies that at least the Triple H creative regime had plans for Liv as the Champion, but the injury caused the drastic changes.

#3. Hope true: Drew McIntyre WWE future update

[🔴]NEW: Drew Mcintrye Update: Drew Mcintrye is expected to be back sooner rather than later (WrestleVotes Live Q&A)

Recently, a graphic emerged online revealing that Drew McIntyre is part of the King of the Ring tournament. Meanwhile, WWE removed the graphics, and reports asserted that it was an error.

Since WrestleMania 42, the Scottish Psychopath has been absent from television. McIntyre is working on a Hollywood project, The Highlanders, which is likely the reason for his absence.

Amid this, a report from WrestleVotes revealed that McIntyre is slated to return sooner rather than later in the Stamford-based promotion. We hope that the rumor is true. WWE should bring back McIntyre as soon as possible on television, particularly after his absence from the recent Premium Live events.

#2. Hope true: Reason Finn Balor moved to SmackDown

The main reason WWE moved Finn Bálor to SmackDown was to separate him from Dominik Mysterio and JD McDonagh, with creative believing he needed a fresh start. (@WONF4W)

Finn Balor is no longer part of the red brand as the company moved him to the SmackDown roster. The Sports Entertainment juggernaut also made it official on RAW this week that Finn is now part of Nick Aldis’ show.

According to an update from The Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Balor was reportedly moved to SmackDown to separate him from the Judgment Day storyline.

The former Universal Champion was part of the villainous faction before everyone turned on him. At WrestleMania this year, Balor brought back the ‘Demon’ gimmick and defeated Dominik Mysterio in a singles match.

Despite this, Balor was still entangled with the Judgment Day post-WrestleMania. With WWE planning to finally give Finn a fresh start, it’s indeed a good sign for him, and we hope that this rumor is true.

#2. Hope not true: Roman Reigns’ opponent for WrestleMania 43

WWE is reportedly considering Oba Femi vs. Roman Reigns as the backup plan for WrestleMania 43 in Saudi Arabia if The Rock is unavailable to compete. (SelfMadePW)

WWE will host next year’s WrestleMania in Saudi Arabia, and the card is expected to be bigger. Fans have been speculating that the company may finally book the dream showdown between Roman Reigns and The Rock at next year’s Showcase of Immortals.

Recently, a report disclosed that WWE is looking at Oba Femi as the backup plan, in case the Final Boss failed to compete at WrestleMania 43. This means that The Ruler is expected to headline Mania with the Original Tribal Chief.

Though this match idea sounds great, we hope that the rumor is not true. It might be too early to put Oba Femi in the main event of the Grandest Stage of Them All, particularly against the Head of the Table.

WWE should properly build the Nigerian star on RAW before making him their next Mania main-eventer. His feud with Brock Lesnar is surely working, but the company must explore more directions.

#1. Hope not true: King of the Ring tournament 2026 winner

The winner of KOTR will earn a World title match after Night of Champions 2026. As per the recent report, Seth Rollins is the planned winner of the Men’s King of the Ring tournament.

Already, on RAW after Clash in Italy, the Visionary teased that he is coming for Roman Reigns. If Rollins wins the tournament, he will challenge Roman Reigns in a World title match at SummerSlam 2026.

Another match between these two former Shield members would be iconic to witness, but we still hope that the rumor is not true. WWE should save the Seth vs Roman feud for the Royal Rumble PLE next year. It will be a full-circle moment, particularly as they last competed for the Universal title at Royal Rumble 2022.

#1. Hope true: A massive feud is waiting for Dominik Mysterio

Coming soon. #AAANocheDeLosGrandes

Dominik Mysterio is the current AAA Mega Champion. Recently, the Lucha Libre promotion got massive attention from the wrestling fans with the Mask vs Mask match.

According to an update from WRKD Wrestling, a match between Dirty Dominik and El Grande Americano could be in the works for the AAA Mega title after El Grande’s victory over Original masked man Chad Gable.

We hope that the rumor is true. A feud between Dom Dom and El Grande Americano will surely generate massive buzz online and elevate AAA status.
