5 Things WWE shouldn’t do at Clash in Italy 2026

We are just less than a week away from WWE Clash in Italy 2026. The Premium Live event will take place on May 31, 2026, at the Inalpi Arena in Turin, Italy.

Already, the Stamford-based promotion has announced multiple matches for the card, including World Championship bouts. As it’s an international PLE, the WWE Universe is expecting major surprises.

However, in this article, we will discuss five things the Sports Entertainment juggernaut shouldn’t do at Clash in Italy this year.

#5. Cody Rhodes shouldn’t end Gunther’s streak

Gunther is set to challenge Cody Rhodes in an Undisputed Championship match at Clash in Italy. The Ring General attacked the American Nightmare on SmackDown. Initially, he used the Paul Heyman favor to get a title shot.

When Royce Keys tried to interfere, he beat him on the blue brand to officially get this match at the Italy show. After last year’s SummerSlam PLE, the Ring General has an undefeated streak in singles matches.

At last year’s Biggest Party of the Summer, CM Punk dethroned him as Champion. Since then, Gunther has defeated every opponent in singles matches. If Cody Rhodes defeated the former Imperium Leader at Clash in Italy, it would end his undefeated streak.

Triple H should ensure that this doesn’t happen at the upcoming Premium Live event. The Prodigal Son ending Gunther’s undefeated streak will result in no benefit and even harm the momentum of the Ring General. It would be better if the company crowns him as the new Undisputed Champion.

#4. Jade Cargill shouldn’t dethrone Rhea Ripley

WWE Women’s Champion Rhea Ripley will defend her Championship against Jade Cargill. The Storm pinned the Eradicator at Saturday Night’s Main Event in a six-woman tag team match.

Despite this, the Stamford-based promotion shouldn’t let Cargill dethrone the Mami at Clash in Italy 2026. The former Judgment Day member defeated the ex-AEW star at WrestleMania 42 to become Champion.

After this title victory, Rhea is yet to engage in any fresh feud or rivalry. So, if she loses the Championship at the forthcoming PLE, the title switch at Mania doesn’t make sense.

So, it would be better if the King of the Kings didn’t book Jade Cargill as the new Champion in the international show.

#3. Sol Ruca shouldn’t win the Women’s Intercontinental title

Sol Ruca will lock horns with Becky Lynch in a Women’s IC title match. The former NXT star defeated the Man in a non-title match at the WWE SNME show via disqualification.

As a result, she got this title match at Clash in Italy. Though Sol has indeed impressed fans with her skills and talent, WWE should consider not putting the mid-card Women’s title on her in this PLE.

It could be too early if she defeats someone like Becky Lynch in a Championship match.

#2. Oba Femi shouldn’t conquer Brock Lesnar again

After announcing retirement at WrestleMania 42, Brock Lesnar returned on RAW and destroyed Oba Femi. The Beast Incarnate has already issued a warning that he will conquer the Ruler in a rematch at Clash in Italy.

On the other side, the former NXT Champion promised to retire the Mayor of Suplex City again in their forthcoming showdown. Though Femi defeated Lesnar at the Showcase of Immortals, the company shouldn’t let Oba beat Brock again at the international PLE.

Lesnar must emerge as the winner in this rematch. Otherwise, coming out of retirement for revenge wouldn’t make sense.

#1. Roman Reigns shouldn’t retain the WWE World Heavyweight Title

This statement may not suit the OTC fans well, but Roman Reigns shouldn’t retain the WWE World Heavyweight Championship at WWE Clash in Italy 2026. The Head of the Table will contest in a rematch against Jacob Fatu.

This time, it will be a Tribal combat match. It’s true that Reigns just won the World title at WWE WrestleMania 42, but Clash in Italy seems like a good opportunity to push Jacob Fatu as a main-event star,

If the Samoan Werewolf failed to become the title holder, the rematch will be only a storyline extension with no significant outcome.

Considering this, WWE shouldn’t book Reigns to retain the Championship at the upcoming international show.
