6 Heel & Face Turns That Can Happen on the Road to WWE Crown Jewel 2026

Only a few weeks remain before WWE Crown Jewel 2026. The Men’s and Women’s Crown Jewel Championships will be on the line, but the pairings could change on the road to the PLE.

Penta and Tiffany Stratton won Money in the Bank. Either star could cash in to upend the planned matches for the big event. Always coming up short, or the temptation of winning a title, could cause one performer to turn heel.

Another star could stand up for themself against an overbearing teammate. Things could change between Chelsea Green and Stratton if Tiffy uses her contract on her friend. The next six heel and face turns could happen on the road to Crown Jewel 2026.

#6. Tiffany Stratton turns on Chelsea Green

Tiffany Stratton won Money in the Bank in 2024 and used it to turn face against Nia Jax. The opposite could occur in 2026 with Green. The two bubbly women have aligned against the bullies of SmackDown.

They’ve faced Jax and Lash Legend, Fatal Influence, and Jade Cargill’s squad. Part of the alliance involved Stratton absorbing damage to protect the injured WWE Women’s Champion.

She’s cleared now, but those moments could be why Stratton turns on her friend. It could happen with a cash-in or a simple betrayal.

#5. WWE upends the dynamic between Cody Rhodes and Randy Orton

The current issue between Rhodes and Orton in their ongoing feud is that most people don’t think The American Nightmare has the killer instinct to harness any dark impulses.

WWE writers tried to make it seem like that changed after he punted Baron Corbin. However, punting Corbin isn’t the same as hitting The Viper with the move. Rhodes doesn’t have ties or a long history with Corbin. He does with Orton.

Fans are still cheering for The Legend Killer, so turning Cody Rhodes heel on the road to Crown Jewel could revitalize the feud. Cody certainly needs more of a change other than kicking a guy the fans don’t like.

#4. Roxanne Perez breaks from the Judgment Day

It’s been a broken record for six months, but Roxanne Perez needs to get away from the Judgment Day. Her addition to the group was to get her over as a face one day. That day may have passed, but it can still happen on the road to Crown Jewel.

The Prodigy winning Money in the Bank would have been infinitely better than Stratton winning two of the last three contracts. The decision is more of a head-scratcher with Triple H putting the Women’s World Title back with Liv Morgan.

The case could have sown tension in the Judgment Day. Instead, it’s business as usual and the same dynamic fans have seen for the last year. Morgan and Raquel Rodriguez could betray Perez by adding a new member. The briefcase would have helped, but WWE didn’t choose that route.

#3. The Evil Queen returns to WWE

WWE put Charlotte Flair with Alexa Bliss to get The Queen over with the fans. It’s helped Flair, and Bliss has won tag team gold twice.

The most recent instance was filling in for Flair after Cargill’s squad attacked the 14-time champion backstage before the match. Flair has been reluctant to fully accept Tatum Paxley into the fold.

Both Bliss and Paxley claimed Flair was happy for their victory on SmackDown. Jacy Jayne pointed out the flaw in this logic since The Queen usually only cares about her success.

Flair will be back soon. She could easily turn on Bliss and Paxley since she missed out on winning gold. Her partnership with Bliss has run its course.

#2. Johnny Gargano stops listening to Sami Zayn

Johnny Gargano has always been a great performer. The issue is that Triple H forgot about him for months on end as shinier toys joined RAW and SmackDown.

Having Zayn talk to a catatonic Gargano was a way to reboot the Cleveland native back into Johnny Wrestling. He’s shown why he’s one of the best workers of this generation despite being booked to put others over.

Johnny Wrestling and Candice LeRae could find out that Sami has been lying to them about the opportunities he secured. They could also get tired of helping the WWE Champion.

#1. LA Knight turns heel

LA Knight will be over with fans as a face or a heel. It would have been better for The Megastar to capture a WWE Championship as a good guy since he’s faced an uphill battle just to win a title.

His latest setback was another loss to Roman Reigns. The loss clearly bothered him during a brief backstage interview with Jackie Redmond. Since he has to go back to the drawing board, WWE could turn Knight heel.

He could turn on Solo Sikoa or continue fighting the Bloodline by joining 946. The group will need a fifth man since the two sides are clearly heading toward a WarGames fight.
