NFL followers react as Chad Johnson invitations league receivers for WR workshop

Chad Johnson is inviting wide receivers across the NFL to participate in a special offseason workshop for the position. The six-time Pro Bowler, who was one of the famed wide receivers during his 11 years in the league, is organizing the workshop to sharpen players’ skills.

Johnson announced the workshop on social media on Monday, encouraging both established and up-and-coming receivers to attend. It’s an opportunity for the players to refine the technical aspects of their game, learning from one another in a largely supportive environment.

The important details of the workshop are yet to be disclosed by Chad Johnson, but it’s expected that they will be made available soon. However, the former NFL wide receiver revealed how long the workshop will take in his short announcement on his social media page.

“Dear @NFL receivers, my WR Workshop is coming up next month. I am formally invited EVERYONE via video. All I need is 3 days to add something to your game that can make a huge difference on Sundays,” Johnson wrote on X.

Chad Johnson touts the Chiefs to get Russell Wilson

Chad Johnson believes Russell Wilson would be the ideal fit for the Kansas City Chiefs while they wait for Patrick Mahomes to recover from injury. He shared the take during Sunday night’s episode of “Nightcap” while the future of the now-free agent quarterback is being discussed.

“Offensively, Eric Bieniemy and Andy Reid will put Russell Wilson in the position to be able to have success,” Johnson said. “The onus of winning those games aren’t going to be a burden on his shoulders.

“I think they have enough offensively where he can come in and ride that ship and keep that team afloat with wins until Patrick Mahomes is ready to come back, if he’s not ready to come back before the season starts.”

Wilson started the first three games of the 2025 season for the Giants before Brian Daboll benched him in favor of rookie Jaxson Dart. Across the season, Wilson threw for 831 passing yards and three touchdowns against three interceptions.
