A major WWE star has given Cody Rhodes a new name ahead of tonight’s episode of SmackDown. This week’s edition of the blue brand will air live from the American Airlines Center in Dallas, Texas.
Cody Rhodes, Jacob Fatu, and Sami Zayn will be competing in a Triple Threat match tonight on WWE SmackDown. The winner of the bout will qualify for the Men’s Elimination Chamber match at the PLE on February 28.
Thanks for the submission!
Ahead of tonight’s show, the promotion shared a video featuring The Samoan Werewolf. Fatu hilariously referred to Cody Rhodes as “Codell” and also mispronounced Sami Zayn’s name as well. You can check out the former United States Champion’s message in the Instagram post below.
It was reported earlier today that the Triple Threat match between Rhodes, Fatu, and Zayn will be the main event of tonight’s show. Alexa Bliss, Giulia, and Zelina Vega are also scheduled to compete in a Women’s Elimination Chamber qualifying match during tonight’s show.
Rhea Ripley and IYO SKY are set to defend the Women’s Tag Team Championships against Lash Legend and Nia Jax tonight as well. Jade Cargill will also be defending her WWE Women’s Championship against Jordynne Grace on SmackDown later tonight.
Female WWE star invites Cody Rhodes to cookout
Lash Legend recently commented on Cody Rhodes’ “Raheem” nickname and invited him to a cookout.
In an interview on Unlikely with Adrian Hernandez, the SmackDown star revealed that she was initially invited to a cookout by Trick Williams. Legend added that The American Nightmare and his wife, Brandi Rhodes, were invited to their cookout and added that she would be on the smoker.
“Well, I remember at NXT, about over a year or two years ago, he was invited to the cookout. So, I think he’s still invited to the cookout because he got his wonderful wife; she already knows what it is. Yeah, he’s invited to the cookout. He can come on through. I’ll be on the smoker on the grill. We can make it happen. He’s invited,” Legend said.
It will be interesting to see if Rhodes can win the Elimination Chamber qualifying match tonight on WWE SmackDown.
