Kylian Mbappe’s previous comments about love have resurfaced online on the occasion of Valentine’s Day. The French superstar mentioned that he would like to be in love again, hinting that he has previously experienced the same.
Kylian Mbappe’s lethal numbers in his career, including his time at Paris Saint-Germain, Monaco and Real Madrid, are well known, making him one of the best footballers in the world today. He is also the face of the French national team, having won the 2018 World Cup with them. However, Mbappe has seldom spoken about his personal life and has not publicly confirmed any relationships with any woman, despite multiple rumors connecting him to many women.
Thanks for the submission!
In an interview with Clique in December 2024, Kylian Mbappe opened up about his love life, claiming he would like to be in love again. He said (via beIN Sports):
“I used to be in love with a woman, but not anymore. I hope I will be in love with a woman again.”
Mbappe added:
“It’s just that sometimes I wonder, imagine if, with everything you’re going through, someone was by your side. My life has been built this way, for these moments. The person by my side is not necessarily prepared for all that comes with it.”
Kylian Mbappe has previously been linked to multiple high-profile women, including Alicia Aylies, who was Miss France 2017, French transgender model Ines Rau, and Belgian model Rose Bertram, among others. However, the Frenchman has neither confirmed nor denied any of these relationships officially.
When Kylian Mbappe’s mother explained why it’s “complicated” to be her son’s girlfriend

In a September 2025 interview with L’Equipe Magazine, Kylian Mbappe’s mother, Fayza Lamari, explained that it would be difficult to date her son. She said:
“I recently asked him if he had a girlfriend. He replied, ‘Do you see a girlfriend in this mess?’ It’s complicated being Kylian Mbappe’s girlfriend. With all that that entails. He’s already had some, and it’s not easy for either of us.”
The former PSG superstar also weighed in on the difficulties of being in a relationship as a global football superstar in the same interview.
Everyone builds their life differently. I did it thinking that football was my whole life, and that I wanted to make the most of my career. Maybe I’m wrong… Maybe I’m right. Only the future will tell me, or God in due time. When you choose things, the result is easy to accept,” Mbappe said.
The Frenchman added:
“It comes down to the fine line between paranoia and vigilance. Some people want to harm you, but that’s not everyone. You shouldn’t overthink it and just jump in. That applies to everyone. Are you married? How did you decide she was the one? You do everything you can to make it work, but how do you guess the obvious?”
On the sporting front, Kylian Mbappe has been in lethal form for Real Madrid, despite Los Blancos not being at their best this season. The French superstar has recorded 38 goals and five assists in 31 outings across competitions.
