“Am I fired?” – 53-year-old star “fell to his knees” after listening to constructive WWE information

A 53-year-old had an emotional reaction after hearing positive WWE news. Many wrestlers have witnessed a lot of big moments in their careers, and some of these moments represent years’ worth of dedication to their craft.

In 2018, WWE recognized The Dudley Boyz for their immense contributions to the industry by inducting them into the Hall of Fame. The decorated tag team made their name in ECW before moving to WWE and other promotions.

The induction was a massive milestone for the team who wrestled across the world and dominated the tag team scene. Now, in a recent interview with VLAD TV, D-Von Dudley has revealed his reaction when he first received the news of his Hall of Fame induction.

The veteran mentioned that he was in India when he got the news and curled up like a baby when he got the phone call from former WWE employee Mark Carrano.

“I think it was like 1-2 o’clock in the morning India time, and we had just got done with the show, and he says, ‘Devon it’s Mark.’ I was like, ‘What am I fired?’ He goes, ‘No, no, no.’ He’s like, ‘But I do want to tell you this.’ And he started giving me the same spill that you hear everybody else get right before they tell them they’re going to be inducted into the Hall of Fame,” he said.

D-Von said once Carrano told him that he would be inducted, he fell to his knees and was overwhelmed.

“And he goes, ‘Congratulations, you and Bubba are going to be inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame 2018.’ I said, ‘You’re lying.’ He goes, ‘No, we’re going to give it to you.’ We’re going to set everything up and we’re going to make the announcement on Monday Night Raw in Philadelphia.’ I’m feeling overwhelmed now, you know? Just remembering that it was like I fell to my knees and I said, ‘Thank you. I thank God,” he added.
