You don’t try this to your Tribal Chief

Roman Reigns was furious on this week’s WWE RAW while signing the contract for his World Heavyweight Championship match against Jacob Fatu. Reigns wasn’t pleased with the usage of The Tongan Death Grip, a move revived by Fatu.

Reigns won the WWE World Heavyweight Championship on Night 2 of WrestleMania 42, dethroning CM Punk. On his first night as champion, he reunited with The Usos before being interrupted by Fatu, who stepped up as The OTC’s first challenger.

On RAW, Reigns put Fatu on notice by claiming that he felt disrespected by The Samoan Werewolf’s actions and questioned him for using the Tongan Death Grip. The move had primarily been used by the legendary Haku and had not been used for years.

“The Tongan Death Grip? You disrespect me by using something you save for desperate measures. You don’t do that to family. You don’t do that to your Tribal Chief.” said Reigns.

LA Knight asked The Usos to stay away from Roman Reigns

LA Knight and The Usos teamed up at WrestleMania 42 against The Vision and IShowSpeed. Post-WrestleMania 42, The Usos reunited with Roman Reigns, but were asked to stay away from The OTC.

During a backstage segment on Monday Night RAW, The Megastar advised the following to Jimmy and Jey:

“You guys sitting at the table again? You sitting at the head of the table? I ain’t here to tell you guys that. As a matter of fact, I wanna remind you exactly who you are. My man Jey Uso, main event, you’re talking about a former World Heavyweight Champion. How did you do that? You did it on your own. Jimmy Uso, all the potential in the world, to be a World Heavyweight Champion, but you know how you gonna do that? Not under Roman Reigns,”

The Reigns-Jacob Fatu feud has already seen several other superstars get involved, including The Usos, Solo Sikoa, Talla Tonga, and even Royce Keys. Reigns will defend the World Heavyweight Championship against Fatu in his first title defense, scheduled for the Backlash 2026 Premium Live Event.
