3 Ways Seth Rollins may bounce again after two massive losses to Gunther and Bron Breakker

Since The Vision turned on him months ago, Seth Rollins has been trying to reclaim his place at the top of WWE. However, the road back has not been smooth for The Visionary. At WrestleMania 42, Rollins suffered a heartbreaking defeat to Gunther after Bron Breakker returned and planted him with a devastating spear. Weeks later at Backlash 2026, Breakker once again proved to be Rollins’ nightmare by defeating him in a huge singles match.

Now, Seth Rollins finds himself at a crossroads. Two massive losses in a short span would crush most superstars, but Rollins has built his entire career on reinvention. Whether he fully embraces his darker side once again or rises as WWE’s top anti-hero, there are several directions Triple H could take him in the coming months.

Here are three ways Seth Rollins could bounce back after his crushing losses to Gunther and Bron Breakker:

#3. Seth Rollins could cost The Vision the tag team titles against The Street Profits

Even though Seth Rollins has been feuding with Bron Breakker and the rest of The Vision, the faction continues to haunt him every single week. The group has expanded its influence on RAW, with Logan Paul and Austin Theory standing beside Bron Breakker under Paul Heyman’s guidance.

One of the best ways for Seth Rollins to regain momentum would be to strike The Vision where it hurts the most: championship gold. WWE has already teased tensions between the duo of Logan Paul and Austin Theory, and The Street Profits after Montez Ford and Angelo Dawkins came to Rollins’ aid during attacks from Breakker and his crew.

The Street Profits have already made it clear that they want the World Tag Team Championship. Given this, Triple H and his creative team might decide to pull the trigger and book Paul and Theory to defend their belts against Angelo and Ford.

If this happens, the door seems open for Seth Rollins to strike and get his revenge. He could appear at the ring side and attack the heels when the referee isn’t looking. In another angle, he might end up distracting Logan Paul and Austin Theory long enough for The Street Profits to win the gold.

This outcome would accomplish several things at once. First, it would finally allow Rollins to get some payback on the faction that ruined his WrestleMania moment. Second, it would further fracture The Vision internally, especially if Paul Heyman starts blaming his younger stars for failing under pressure. Finally, it would give The Visionary a morally gray edge again.

It seems Rollins does his best work when he operates somewhere between hero and villain. Fans could understand why he wanted revenge, but his actions would also show that he is becoming increasingly consumed by hatred.

That character shift could become the first step toward rebuilding The Visionary into a far more dangerous version of himself.

#2. Seth Rollins could end his feud with The Vision by defeating them in an eight-man tag match

At some point, Seth Rollins will need a defining victory to erase the sting of losing to both Gunther and Bron Breakker. The perfect opportunity could come in a massive eight-man tag team showdown.

WWE has already started connecting Rollins with Joe Hendry and The Street Profits on RAW. The four men already share bad blood with The Vision on the red brand.

Hence, that could eventually set up a blockbuster match featuring Seth Rollins, Hendry, and The Street Profits against Bron Breakker, Logan Paul, Austin Theory, and another member of The Vision. Perhaps, Bronson Reed (when he returns from injury).

This potential feud-ending match would give Rollins the exact kind of comeback moment he desperately needs. Rather than trying to beat Breakker alone, Seth would finally realize that he cannot take down an entire faction without help.

If this match happens, the creative team could book The Visionary to pin Bron Breakker clean in the end after delivering multiple Stomps in the center of the ring, securing the victory for his team.

That victory would instantly re-establish Rollins as a top-tier main-event talent. More importantly, it would finally end his nightmare feud with The Vision and allow him to move on to bigger opportunities.

Since WWE seemingly loves redemption arcs, this storyline would perfectly fit Seth Rollins’ character. After months of humiliation, betrayal, and losses, he would finally stand tall again with the fans fully behind him.

#1. Seth Rollins could eventually dethrone Roman Reigns at SummerSlam

The biggest and most exciting direction for Seth Rollins may ultimately involve Roman Reigns.

At WrestleMania 42, Reigns won the World Heavyweight Championship and successfully retained it against Jacob Fatu at Backlash 2026. While the OTC is currently positioned as WWE’s top star once again, history has shown that few rivals bring out the best in him quite like Rollins.

Their rivalry dates back to The Shield, and WWE has repeatedly protected Rollins whenever he shares the ring with Reigns. Arguably, Seth remains one of the only superstars Roman has never truly conquered mentally.

That history could become the foundation for Seth Rollins’ ultimate comeback story. After finally ending his war with The Vision, Seth could slowly climb back into title contention throughout the summer. Unlike previous versions of Rollins, however, this version would be more focused, ruthless, and dangerous after everything he has experienced.

Meanwhile, Roman Reigns may grow increasingly distracted by family issues involving Jacob Fatu, Solo Sikoa, and the rest of the Bloodline saga. That distraction could create the opening The Visionary needs.

A SummerSlam main event between the former Shield stablemates would instantly feel massive. The story writes itself: two former brothers, two all-time greats, and two men trying to prove they are still the face of WWE.

Most importantly, Seth Rollins potentially winning the World Heavyweight Championship from Roman Reigns would completely erase the damage caused by his recent losses.

Instead of being remembered as the man who lost to Gunther and Bron Breakker, Rollins would once again become the top star on Monday Night RAW. It would also complete one of the strongest redemption arcs WWE has produced in years.
