To obtain a Livyatan, you must fish during a Livyatan Hunt event which has a spawn rate of 5% after catching a Mosasaurus and 10% after catching a Megalodon. Everytime the hunt starts in the Ocean, it remains active either of 15 minutes or until someone in the server catches it.

Step 1: Spawn the Livyatan
Before catching a Livyatan, you must spawn it near Ancient Isle by causing Disturbance. To achieve this, you can follow these methods:
- Catch a Mosasaurus: Mosasaurus is a Mythical creature that spawns near Ancient Isle during a foggy night. Upon catching it with the help of a Truffle Worm bait, there’s a 5% chance of spawning Livyatan Hunt.
- Catch a Megalodon: Megalodon is an Exotic fish that you can catch during thd Megalodon Hunt. Upon catching this creature, there’s a 10% chance of spawning Livyatan Hunt.
- Fish near Ancient Isle: By fishing near Ancient Isle, you can create Disturbance and make the Livyatan appear.
Step 2: Catch Livyatan
Livyatan will always spawn near the Ancient Isle island. Everytime it spawns, you must equip one of your best rods and start fishing with the Shark Head bait.
