Minnesota Vikings quarterback J.J. McCarthy has been in the news since the arrival of former Arizona Cardinals signal-caller Kyler Murray on a one-year contract.
McCarthy raised eyebrows with his comments about his relationship with Murray last month. According to a report by Vikings insider Alec Lewis, McCarthy “stretches away from the other three quarterbacks before practices.”

Despite reports of friction in the quarterback room, Vikings coach Kevin O’Connell dismissed the rumors saying the 23-year-old has “been great in the meeting room” and “great on the grass.”
