Drain the Lake features a plethora of Badges that can be earned by completing certain tasks or running into certain chance encounters. These collectibles can be acquired to earn Gems from the lobby, making them a potent source of the most important in-game currency. As of this writing, the game has a total of 18 Badges, which allow you to earn hundreds of Gems in total.

  • First Drop: Drain your first bucket for 10 Gems.
  • Plunge: Take a swim in the lake for 10 Gems.
  • Shark Bait: Get caught by the Shark in the lake for 20 Gems.
  • Lucky Find: Find 10 chests for 40 Gems.
  • Sunken Secrets: Reach the Shipwreck Checkpoint for 40 Gems.
  • Bucket Brigade: Drain 100 Buckets for 60 Gems.
  • Deep Dive: Reach the Cavern Checkpoint for 60 Gems.
  • The Mines: Reach the Mineshaft Checkpoint for 75 Gems.
  • Fire Below: Reach the Molten Checkpoint for 90 Gems.
  • Sunken Riches: Find 100 Chests for 110 Gems.
  • Water Works: Drain 1,000 Buckets for 110 Gems.
  • Ancient Ruins: Reach the Lost City Checkpoint for 110 Gems.
  • Fully Trained: Unlock everything in the Skill Tree for 110 Gems.
  • Into the Abyss: Reach the Abyss Checkpoint for 125 Gems.
  • Find My Phone: Unlock the Phone ending for 140 Gems.
  • Bucket List: Unlock all Buckets in the game for 140 Gems.
  • Bottomless Treasure: Find 1,000 Chests for 140 Gems.
  • Ocean’s Worst Nightmare: Drain 10,000 Buckets for 150 Gems.

The rewards associated with these Badges can be claimed from the lobby. Approach the Badges station and interact with the NPC to open the list of Badges. Then, click on any unlocked Badge to claim the associated freebie.

Gems can be used to unlock new Buckets at the Bucket station. The default Wooden Bucket aside, each Bucket comes with a unique passive ability that can help you clear the game at a faster rate.
