The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) named the replacements for the injured duo of Harshit Rana and Varun Chakaravarthy for the upcoming ODI series against England and the following T20I series in Zimbabwe. While Harshit was part of the ODI squad for the England series, Varun was part of the squad for the Zimbabwe T20Is.
With the duo ruled out, Prince Yadav has replaced Harshit for the England ODIs, while Ravi Bishnoi takes Varun’s place in the T20I squad for the Zimbabwean tour.
Both Harshit and Varun were ruled out of the final two games of the recently concluded T20I series in England after sustaining injuries during the third T20I. Harshit reportedly experienced discomfort in his right hamstring, which has now been revealed to be a Grade 1 hamstring injury.
On the other hand, Varun experienced discomfort in his left hamstring in the third T20I, with an MRI now revealing a Grade 2 hamstring injury.
Harshit was penetrative in the England series with three wickets in as many matches at an average of 23.33. However, he traveled at an economy of 10.
Meanwhile, Varun endured a forgettable series, picking up a solitary wicket in three matches at an average of 72 and an economy of 10.28. Team India suffered a shocking 0-4 series loss in the five-match series in England.

Prince Yadav and Ravi Bishnoi had contrasting showings in the England T20Is
Prince Yadav and Ravi Bishnoi were on opposite ends of the spectrum in terms of their bowling in the recently concluded England T20I series. The former impressed in his first game, the third of the series, with figures of 2/30 in four overs.
Prince followed that up with another passable outing in the fourth T20I with figures of 0/28 in three overs. However, he suffered badly during England’s onslaught in the series finale, conceding 60 runs in four wicketless overs.
On the other hand, Bishnoi was a massive letdown in his lone bowling stint in the series. With the second T20I hanging in the balance and the series still tied at 0-0, Bishnoi gave away a costly 29 runs off his final overs to all but end India’s victory hopes. He finished with woeful figures of 0/60 in four overs.
