“We never spoke once”- 41-year-old star makes big AEW revelation

A 41-year-old made his AEW debut this year. Recently, in an interview, he made a shocking revelation about the behind-the-scenes story of his arrival at All Elite Wrestling.

The star is none other than Tommaso Ciampa. The former NXT Champion’s WWE contract expired in January. On the 28th January episode of Dynamite, The Psycho Killer made his shocking debut for All Elite Wrestling. He has been working in the mid-card scene of the promotion since then. His arrival in the Jacksonville-based promotion reinvigorated fans’ interest in his career in pro-wrestling.

Speaking with Stick to Wrestling, the 41-year-old star revealed that his decision to leave WWE was driven by a desire to find the right path for himself and his family. Therefore, he was looking for various routes in the pro-wrestling industry, like heading outside of the USA. The former WWE star revealed that AEW was never a part of the conversation because he did not talk to Tony Khan until the day he made his debut for the promotion.

“Not at all. No… it was all internalized. It was all just us chatting what’s best for us. And that AEW was just a piece of it because it was really just like, all right, we’re leaving. It’s just what’s next and what’s reality. You know, we’re in a pretty good place, you know, secure place financially, we can take a bit of a risk. – AEW wasn’t even a part of that… We never spoke once. I didn’t meet or speak to Tony Khan one time until the day I was at Dynamite for my debut,” said Ciampa. [H/T: Ringside News]

Tommaso Ciampa has been regularly competing in All Elite Wrestling. He faced Chris Jericho on last week’s episode of Dynamite. The two stars delivered an amazing showdown where Ciampa picked up a strong win. With that said, only time will tell how things will unfold for The Psycho Killer from here on.

Tommaso Ciampa hints at going after the titles in AEW

Tommaso Ciampa has been on a roll in All Elite Wrestling. He has picked up some strong wins in the past few months. Following his victory over Y2J, Ciampa delivered a heated promo where he hinted at going after the championship gold in the Jacksonville-based promotion.

In a promo shared on AEW’s X, The Psycho Killer said that he is putting his feud with Chris Jericho in the rear-view mirror. He added that now his main focus in All Elite Wrestling is winning titles for his glory. As per the former WWE star, he is taking this new path to make his name legendary.

“I am done with him, that’s for certain. I am moving on to bigger and better things. Because ever since I came to AEW, I have said time and time again that I am here for the titles and titles only. That’s the path that I continue,” said Ciampa.

There are several massive names who are chasing various championships in All Elite Wrestling lately. It is going to be interesting to see where this new path will take The Psycho Killer from here on.
