Carolina Hurricanes goaltender Brandon Bussi and longtime partner Mary Raclawski are married. The couple exchanged vows on July 17 at Saint Paul’s Parish in Cambridge, Massachusetts in the presence of 187 family members and friends.
Raclawski shared the news with fans by posting a wedding reel on Instagram writing

The couple said choosing a Catholic church for their wedding was one of the easiest decisions they made because of the role faith plays in their relationship.
“Our faith is an important part of our relationship, so celebrating the sacrament of marriage in a traditional church ceremony was our biggest priority,” Raclawski told PEOPLE.
Bussi said Boston also held special meaning for them as a couple making it the perfect place to celebrate their wedding.
“Boston is where we first started our lives together outside of college at Western Michigan University,” he said. “Every summer while we were dating, Mary would visit me while I was goalie training in Boston, so it holds a very special place in our hearts. We have made some incredible friends who have become family in Boston.”
Raclawski also shared that planning a wedding while Bussi was focused on the NHL season and the Stanley Cup Final came with its challenges. Even so she said the experience was worth it because the couple’s biggest goal was simply to begin married life together.
Brandon Bussi and Raclawski first met at Western Michigan University where both competed as student athletes. They began dating during their college years and remained together as Bussi worked his way to the NHL before celebrating their marriage in Cambridge.

The wedding also comes after a memorable year on the ice for Brandon Bussi who made the most of his opportunity with the Hurricanes during the 2025-26 season.
After arriving in Carolina on waivers from the Florida Panthers in October, the 28 year old took over a bigger role when Pyotr Kochetkov was sidelined with a long-term injury. He finished the regular season with a 31-6-2 record in 39 appearances and became the fastest goaltender in NHL history to reach 20 career wins, doing so in just 24 games.
His performances also helped earn the confidence of the Hurricanes’ front office. Earlier this offseason Carolina signed Brandon Bussi to a three-year, $5.7 million contract extension that keeps him with the club through the 2028-29 season. The deal carries a $1.9 million average annual value and includes a modified no-trade clause in the final year.
