5 finest early sport base areas in Palworld 1.0

Palworld 1.0 rewards players who think carefully about their early game base locations rather than just dropping a Pal Box wherever feels convenient. The starting area at the Hill of Beginnings is fine for the first few minutes, but there are noticeably better spots nearby that offer more resources, better views, and more defensible layouts.

Here are five solid early game base locations in Palworld 1.0 worth considering, each with its own strengths depending on what the current playthrough needs most.

Palworld 1.0: 5 best early game base locations

1) North of the Hill of Beginnings (157, -391)

Head straight north from the Hill of Beginnings past the Chillet spawn location and set up at coordinates 157, -391. This spot earns its place at the top of the list because it genuinely has everything going for it at once. There is a decent amount of ore and trees nearby for consistent resource gathering, flat terrain that makes building straightforward, and the option to build out over the edge for a genuinely impressive cliff view.

From a defence standpoint, most enemies approach from a single wooden hanging bridge, which makes fortifying the base considerably easier than spots that require covering multiple entry points. Place the Pal Box in the centre to cover the full area, and using the cliff edge for a nice view each morning is a priority.

2) West of Yhorm (283, -103)

This one among the early game base locations steps outside the immediate beginner zone and is best suited for players who have progressed past the initial stages and need access to more specialised materials. Located at coordinates 283, -103, west of Yhorm, everything in this area is around level 30, so it is worth waiting until the team can handle that before settling here.

What makes this spot stand out is the Sulfur and Quartz nodes, both of which are harder to find in large quantities in the beginner areas. The terrain features a natural hollowed area between large stone rocks where the base sits protected, with enemies typically approaching from one direction.

That makes wall placement straightforward and the base genuinely easy to seal off. Flying overhead makes the density of resource nodes immediately visible, and this location in Palworld is the natural next step once the earlier bases have served their purpose.

3) West of the Hill of Beginnings (10, -526)

This is one of the most resource-dense options in the early section of the map in Palworld. Located at coordinates 10, -526, directly west of the Hill of Beginnings, it takes a bit more travel to reach but pays off once the base is established. Wood, ore, and other materials respawn frequently in this area, and the terrain is flat enough to build comfortably.

There is a dungeon close enough to glide to from the base, and another one directly below the location, making it a natural hub for both base management and exploration. The Spirit Flame nearby helps with traversal, and the cliff overlooking the water makes for one of the better-looking builds in the early game.

This spot is the strongest pick for anyone who wants to prioritise consistent material output without having to range far from the base.

4) North of the Penking Arena (107, -333)

Sitting just north of the Penking arena at coordinates 107, -333, this base offers a solid variety of resources including oil in the nearby area. The level of activity around here sits at roughly level 15, keeping it accessible for early-game players.

Pals like Celaray work well as base workers in this area, which is a useful bonus for anyone setting up production chains. The surrounding region has multiple points of interest including ore deposits, the boss arena nearby, and an oil drilling rig within flying distance.

Building tall structures works well here given the terrain, and there is enough around the base to keep exploration loops productive without needing to travel too far in Palworld.

This base sits directly west of Chillet and right beside the Tower of the Rayne Syndicate. There are actually several buildable spots in this cluster, but the one at coordinates 83, -431 has the most going for it in terms of resource access and proximity to early-game points of interest. Stone and ore are nearby, and the spirit streams in the area allow for quick movement when exploring.

The main trade-off is defence. Enemies can approach from all sides here, so the layout needs more thought than Location 1. Building vertically is a reliable workaround, and placing two stairs side by side helps Pals, especially Alphas, navigate upper floors more effectively.

Of all the spots on this early game base locations list, this one has the least raw resource density, but what it lacks there it makes up for in being close to a lot of early-game destinations.
