Disappointing replace on Bayley forward of WWE SummerSlam

WWE is headed towards The Biggest Party of the Summer in Minnesota, and a new report provides a disappointing update on Bayley’s status with the Stamford-based promotion.

Multiple rumors recently addressed Bayley‘s status with WWE, and many indicated that The Role Model hasn’t signed a new deal with the promotion, which could open the doors to a possible run at All Elite Wrestling. If anything, Saturday Night’s Main Event ended on a somber note for the multi-time Women’s Champion, as Lyra Valkyria brutally wrote her off from television.

On the RAW after Saturday Night’s Main Event, Valkyria claimed Bayley was gone from the promotion, which raised more concerns. According to Dave Meltzer on the Wrestling Observer Newsletter (WON), a person informed the insider before the show in New York that backstage talk indicated this was The Role Model’s last match.

It’s a disappointing update on her current status with the promotion. Only time will tell if Bayley signs a new deal with WWE or leaves the company after over a decade for a run in Tony Khan’s wrestling promotion in Jacksonville.

WWE veteran on Bayley’s current situation

In 2019, Tony Khan created All Elite Wrestling, and it eventually became the second-largest wrestling promotion in the United States. Over the years, wrestlers have switched companies, and some remained at the top in both places, and others eventually parted ways without making a significant impact.

Bayley recently became the talk of the town, as rumors around her contract surfaced online. Moreover, Mercedes Moné, fka Sasha Banks, teased that The Role Model could make her way to the Jacksonville-based wrestling promotion in the coming months.

Speaking on Story Time with Dutch Mantell, the former manager gave his take, believing Bayley should do what’s best for herself as a performer. Mantell also believes she’s in a position to make good money in her next contract, and she should do what’s best for her.

As of now, Bayley has been written off the weekly product following Saturday Night’s Main Event in New York and was recently pulled out of events during SummerSlam weekend in Minnesota. It’ll be interesting to see what’s next for the WWE Women’s Grand Slam Champion.
