Choosing the right Class in Land or Die can make a huge difference in how smoothly your flights go. While each one has its own strengths, some provide significantly more value through better movement, utility, emergency handling, or passive Mile bonuses.
This tier list ranks every Class in Land or Die based on its overall usefulness, class perks, progression, versatility, and long-term value.
Ranking all Classes in Land or Die

S Tier
These are the strongest Classes in the game. They offer excellent perks that remain useful throughout every stage of progression and can dramatically improve your efficiency during flights.
Fran the Flight Attendant
This is widely considered one of the best all-around Classes in Land or Die. It combines exceptional movement speed with passenger-focused abilities, allowing you to complete support tasks much faster than almost any other class.
Its later-level perks, including fully healing passengers and earning double Miles from feeding them, make it invaluable during longer flights where passenger management becomes increasingly important.
Tanner the Top Gun
This is the ultimate pilot Class for experienced players. Its perks make controlling aircraft significantly easier while also improving survivability through slower oxygen depletion and the ability to repair flight controls without needing a wrench.
Landing rewards are also doubled at Level 5, making Tanner one of the most rewarding Classes for players who frequently pilot planes.
A Tier
These Classes excel in specific roles and can carry an entire team when used properly. Although they aren’t quite as universally powerful as the S Tier Classes, they’re still among the best options available.
Flint the Fire Fighter
It specializes in handling one of the most dangerous emergencies in the game: fires. Faster extinguishing speed, additional extinguisher charges, complete immunity to fire damage, and double Miles from engine fires make it an essential emergency-response class.
Perry the Plumber
It dominates maintenance-related tasks. Faster toilet repairs, immunity to slipping on flooded floors, and improved stamina regeneration make it incredibly effective whenever the plane experiences plumbing issues.
Its Level 5 perk also doubles the Miles earned from unclogging toilets, making it one of the best support classes for maintenance-focused players.
Gary the Gas Attendee
This Class shines whenever fuel management becomes a priority. Larger fuel capacity, increased carrying speed, additional inventory slots, and double ATC rewards make it one of the strongest support-oriented classes in the game.
B Tier
These Classes remain strong and are worth unlocking, especially during the early and mid-game. However, they eventually become overshadowed by higher-tier alternatives.
Andreas the Amateur
Andreas is an excellent first pilot Class thanks to its smoother aircraft handling and reduced chance of engine fires. The forgiving landing perks also help newer pilots gain confidence behind the controls.
Although Tanner eventually replaces him, Andreas remains a fantastic stepping stone for beginners.
Ty the Tourist
Ty offers unique utility through upgraded cameras, healing flash ability, and increased inventory space. Its skills are particularly useful during anomaly-related encounters, but they don’t provide the same game-changing impact as higher-tier support or emergency classes.
C Tier
These Classes are perfectly usable but are generally intended for beginners or players who haven’t unlocked stronger alternatives yet.
The Passenger
The Passenger is the starter Class that every player begins with. Extra inventory slots, slightly faster task completion, and bonus conversation rewards make it a decent introduction to the game’s mechanics. However, once you unlock other Classes, The Passenger is quickly outclassed in nearly every category.
