Manchester United star Leny Yoro has urged his teammates to think about winning the Premier League title this season. He believes that they always need to aim for the top ahead of the new season.
Speaking to the media, Yoro stated that the squad is in a good mood and the vibes in the dressing room are at the right level. He wants them to aim for a win in all the matches and believes that they can do it this season.
Thanks for the submission!
“Yeah, of course. We’re Man United so we have to think like that. And I know we have the potential to do it, so we have to do it. The mood is really good. We work really hard, and outside the pitch, we have a good vibe, good mood.”
“So the target this season is to win every game, to be honest. For the team to be the best, for myself to do good games every time, to win trophies, and to be at the top.” (via The Sun)
Talking about his personal goals, Yoro said that he wants to be injury-free this season and improve. He reminded the Manchester United fans that he is still a 20-yea-old has a long way to go in his career and said:
“I hope I’m not going to be injured this pre-season. That will help me to improve as well, and to be ready for the start of the season. But the team is doing really well. No injuries yet as well. So hopefully we’re going to continue like that. Obviously, I have no excuses, but I hope I’m not going to be injured this season, and I’ll show to everyone what I can do.”
“Sometimes people forget I am still only 20, still a lot to learn, so I have a lot to improve. And like I said, I know my potential, I can learn a lot. I can improve a lot. So I hope this season’s gonna be a big, big step for me as well.”
Manchester United finished third in the Premier League last season, after a stunning run under Michael Carrick. They played just 40 matches, as they did not have European football, and were knocked out in their first match of the Carabao Cup and FA Cup.
Manchester United making transfers ahead of new season
Manchester United have seen Casemiro leave in the summer, but have signed two midfielders to replace him. They have got Andrey Santos for £50 million from Chelsea, while also adding Youri Tielemans from Aston Villa by activating his £35 million release clause.
The Red Devils have also signed Karl Darlow as a backup goalkeeper, with Andre Onana being sold permanently. They remain interested in AS Roma’s Manu Kone, while Newcastle United’s Lewis Hall is also a target.
