Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) president Nasser Al-Khelaifi has refused to rule out the exit of Liverpool and Arsenal linked Bradley Barcola. The French winger remained on the bench as an unused substitute during PSG’s win over Aston Villa to lift the UEFA Super Cup on Wednesday.
Liverpool view Barcola as the ideal option to bolster their attack after parting ways with Mohamed Salah. Arsenal were in the hunt for Vinicius Jr before the Real Madrid star agreed a contract extension. It has been claimed that Arteta remains an admirer of Barcola.

PSG value Barcola at £145 million, a fee considered as too high by Liverpool and Arsenal. The Reds have reportedly held talks over a potential move and Al-Khelaifi has now made an interesting comment on Barcola’s future after the Super Cup win.
The PSG chief stated that PSG remain calm in negotiations for Barcola. He insisted that the winger remains ‘important’ to the team, but left the door open to a potential exit by revealing that discussions are happening behind-the-scenes.
Al-Khelaifi told reporters:
“We’re working calmly. We don’t talk too much. We get things done.
“All of our players are important. When they sign for PSG, they become important to us.’
“I can’t say today. What I can say today is that he’s a PSG player. There are discussions, negotiations, we’ll see.”
Barcola scored 13 goals and grabbed seven assists in all competitions for PSG last season. He also netted three times for France at the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
Michael Owen warns Liverpool and Arsenal over Barcola signing
Liverpool hero Michael Owen has opined that there are ‘other great players’ out there than Bradley Barcola in the transfer market. The Englishman offered his stance on the signing after rumors linked the winger with his former club.
Owen admitted that Barcola is a top player but he believes the price remains a sticking point. PSG’s valuation is considered massive by Owen, who thinks the Reds should pursue alternatives.
The footballer-turned-pundit told GOAL:
“He’s [Barcola] obviously very good, but he’s going to come at a massive price. I don’t think they have to win it. There’s other great players out there.”
Liverpool have added the likes of Victor Munoz and Ronald Araujo to their ranks this summer. A deal for Jeremy Jacquet was finalised in February, with the defender officially joining last month.
Arsenal, on the other hand, have signed Illan Meslier from Leeds on a free transfer, while both Christos Tzolis and Bruno Guimaraes have also linked up with the Premier League champions. Piero Hincapie’s loan move has also been made permanent by the Gunners.
