CM Punk Explains Why He Still Hates Seth Rollins

CM Punk and Seth Rollins were embroiled in a deeply personal rivalry on WWE TV last year. Although they are on different brands at the moment, there is no love lost between the duo.

Punk defeated Rollins on RAW’s Netflix premiere last year. The duo later squared off in a Steel Cage Match, where Roman Reigns inadvertently helped The Visionary emerge victorious. In the main event of WrestleMania 41 Night One, the former Vision leader pinned Reigns to win a Triple Threat bout also involving The Best in the World.

Seth Rollins and CM Punk continued to feud after last year’s Show of Shows. At SummerSlam 2025, The Visionary pulled off the “Ruse of the Century” by cashing in his Money in the Bank contract on Punk and stealing his World Heavyweight Championship. Despite being on different brands at the moment, the two leave no stone unturned in insulting each other on public platforms.

Punk recently appeared on Netflix’s Hot Ones: Extra Heat. During the chat, a fan asked The Best in the World why he hated the former Shield member. In response, the SmackDown Superstar said there was nothing to like about Seth Rollins. He also poked fun at Rollins’ hairstyle.

“I think it’d be easier to have people explain to me what’s good about Seth. What’s to like about Seth? Manbun, it’s 2026. I can’t say anything nice, so why say anything at all?” Punk said.

Seth Rollins has been away from TV since losing to Roman Reigns at SummerSlam 2026 Night Two. Meanwhile, CM Punk has competed in several main event matches on SmackDown in recent weeks. This past Friday, The Best in the World put his Undisputed WWE Championship on the line against Sami Zayn.

Punk seemed destined to reign supreme and retain his gold before Johnny Gargano, Candice LeRae, and Kevin Owens interfered in the contest. Zayn capitalized on the opening and used underhanded tactics to defeat the Chicago native.

A recent report by the Wrestling Observer Newsletter indicated that many within WWE and the USA Network didn’t want Punk to lose the championship. However, the creative team went ahead with the title change for storyline purposes.
