“You know whatever happens is your responsibility”- Jon Moxley lastly addresses Will Ospreay forward of their AEW World Championship match

AEW star Jon Moxley delivered his first statement on Will Ospreay ahead of their blockbuster World Championship match at All Out 2026.

On the September 16 episode of Dynamite, Jon Moxley appeared in a backstage segment with Gabe Kidd and Pac. The Purveyor of Violence applauded Will Ospreay for overcoming the hard journey he had over the last year and said that his victory at All In 2026 would inspire generations to come. However, Moxley made it clear that this was all about what Ospreay was becoming in front of everyone after winning the World title.

“Champ Will Ospreay has targeted me …that’s bold move, unexpected and I feel … I feel sometype of way about it … it’s incredible what you have overcomed in the past year Will. Nobody understands like me just how hard that road has been. I’m hard on myself, I’m hard on people around me, I’m hard on everybody … because this is a hard job. After our time together, I hope by now, you’ve learned this, but just in case you haven’t disabused of the notion that any belt around anyone’s waist makes them the best … coz it don’t. It was an amazing thing what you did at Wembley Stadium Will, it’s going to inspire kids for generation, for years and years, but this was not about something you can hold in your hands or strap around your waist, it was what you can become, what you are becoming before our eyes.

Furthermore, the former AEW World Champion said he didn’t want Ospreay to follow him, but to lead. He concluded his promo by saying that when they meet in the ring at All Out, whatever happens will be Ospreay’s responsibility.

I never asked for nothing man, I never wanted you to follow me Will … I wanted you to lead, so I guess this is where all is heading between me and you, I guess I owe you that much … and by now you know that at All Out, when you look across the ring … and you see me, you know whatever happens is your responsibility.”

Jon Moxley and Will Ospreay had a captivating rivalry upon Ospreay’s return to AEW this year. Following that, The Aerial Assassin briefly aligned with Moxley’s faction, The Death Riders, before going his separate way at Redemption 2026 PPV. With tensions once again reignited between the duo, it remains to be seen who will emerge victorious at AEW All Out 2026.
