WNBA Best Bets for Tuesday: Lynx, Sparks Highlight Two-Play Card

There are five games on the WNBA schedule and playoff drama is thick on Tuesday night.

The Lynx ended a three-game slide in Sunday’s rout of Connecticut as Minnesota heads to Indiana on Tuesday.

Minnesota sits one game ahead of Golden State for the top overall record in the league. 

Elsewhere, the Valkyries seek their seventh consecutive victory as they travel up the coast to Portland to take on a Fire team that has lost four in a row.

Lynx (-1.5) at Fever – 8:00 p.m. ET

Minnesota (32-10) looked untouchable for the top overall seed in the upcoming WNBA playoffs. However, the Lynx lost their final two games prior to the FIBA Women’s Basketball World Cup then dropped their first game back at New York.

The Lynx rolled past the Sun, 101-89 as they draw the Fever twice to close out the regular season. Indiana (27-15) fell behind Washington by 15 points after the first quarter in Sunday’s 93-77 home setback.

Minnesota topped Indiana in the first matchup, 108-100 as 5.5-point home favorites in early August. The Lynx own a 6-2 against the spread mark this season as a favorite of 2.5 or fewer points.

The Fever are 5-1 off a home loss, but this is a key spot for the Lynx to maintain the first seed heading into next week’s playoffs.

Sparks (+16.5) at Aces – 10:00 p.m. ET

Las Vegas (29-13) is looking to lock up the third seed in the WNBA playoffs with a win, while seeking its sixth consecutive victory. The defending champions dominated the Storm in consecutive outings after the World Cup, capped off with a 98-77 home rout on Sunday.

Los Angeles (16-26) rebounded from a 20-point loss at Dallas to blow out Portland, 105-84 to improve to 4-2 in the last six games. The Sparks have compiled a 5-0 ATS mark in the past five outings as a 9.5-point underdog or higher.

The road team has won all three matchups this season between these squads, including L.A.’s 101-95 triumph at Las Vegas in late May as 9.5-point dogs. The Aces have victories over the three worst teams in the league during their five-game hot streak, but this is too many points.
