Caitlin Clark has been friends with Taylor Swift for years, thanks to their shared interest in the Kansas City Chiefs. However, Swift has yet to attend one of Clark’s games, though that could change in the coming weeks following the Indiana Fever’s message to the artist’s husband, Travis Kelce.
The interaction between the Fever and Kelce began after the WNBA outfit’s IG handle shared a clip of Clark greeting the NFL star’s mother during a game at Gainbridge Fieldhouse on Tuesday.
“CC met up with mama Kelce before the game tonight 🤩,” the handle captioned the post.
In the clip, Clark and Kelce’s mom were seen greeting each other before embracing in a warm hug. The video quickly earned a response from the Chiefs star, who responded with a three-word message.
“CC’s the realest!! 🙌🏻🙌🏻,” Kelce wrote.
The message earned another response from the Fever handle, teasing a possible appearance from Kelce at the arena.
“@killatrav see you soon at @gainbridgefieldhouse 😉,” the Fever wrote.
The exchange quickly turned heads online as a Clark fan shared a screenshot of the entire back-and-forth between the Fever and Kelce on X, anticipating a possible appearance from Taylor Swift and her husband during the playoffs.
“WAIT, IT’S HAPPENING?!!!” the fan captioned the post.
Others quickly joined the handle in reacting to the news, believing the exchange hinted at the couple attending a game at the Gainbridge Fieldhouse during the postseason.
“Holy s*it. Everybody. Stay calm!!” another fan added.
Despite the interaction between the Fever and Kelce leaving fans excited, there is no confirmation that he or Swift will be there to watch Clark in the playoffs. However, with the pair attending the Cleveland Cavaliers’ playoff game earlier this year, there is a possibility of it happening.

Caitlin Clark helped lead the Indiana Fever to victory on Tuesday as they secured an impressive 96-77 win over the Minnesota Lynx. Having lost their last outing against the Washington Mystics, the Fever needed to prove a point ahead of the playoffs and did so by defeating the table-toppers.
After the win, Clark reflected on her team’s performance, highlighting what they could do better, while labelling the Fever as “contenders.”
“I feel very confident in everything and everybody that we have in this locker room,” Clark said. “And I think for us is just finding the level of consistency … I think we’re a championship contender and it’s like moments like that you just can’t have especially in the playoffs.”
Clark missed the Fever’s run to the semifinals last year with an injury and should be ready to start the playoffs with only one regular-season game remaining.
