adidas and Germany‘s national soccer teams may be parting ways at the end of the year, but their swan song is still a pretty sweet symphony.

On Thursday, September 23, the sportswear giant and the Deutscher Fussball-Bund released what will be the last shirt adidas makes for the Germans before Nike takes over the contract at the beginning of 2027. The shirt will be used as a third kit until the end of the year as Germany participates in UEFA Nations League group stage matches.

The shirt has a classy throwback look to it, with a black base and gold diamonds forming narrow vertical stripes down the front and back. Gold piping also runs along the seams of the raglan sleeves on both sides of the kit. The DFB crest sits on the left chest, opposite adidas’s retro trefoil logo.

The adidas shoulder stripes are solid white, while the V-neck collar and sleeve cuffs are white with black and gold stripes through the middle.

The jersey was shown in social media photos and videos paired with black shorts and socks, both with white adidas stripes. They also showed solid white numbers on the shorts and the back of the shirt, along with solid white names on the back.

The kit will be available to purchase starting November 3.

The diamonds on the shirt are a bit of a callback to Germany’s current away kit, which they wore at the 2026 FIFA World Cup in North America. That kit is blue with a tonal chevron pattern and sets of three small light blue diamonds peppered throughout. The diamonds are also writ larger on the front of Germany’s current home kit, where the diagonal stripes in the colors of the German flag meet in the middle of the chest.

The start of the DFB’s deal with Nike brings a 77-year relationship between adidas and the West German and German national teams to an end. During their partnership, they won four World Cups: 1954, 1974, 1990 (all as West Germany) and 2014 (as Germany).
