Michael Chandler: Belal Muhammad hilariously blames Michael Chandler for shock ending to Conor McGregor vs. Max Holloway 2

Conor McGregor’s comeback lasted barely a few seconds as the Irishman was stopped by the doctor after just one minute.

‘The Notorious’ returned to action after five years in a rematch against Max Holloway at UFC 329. The former two-division champion talked the talk before the fight, but he seemed to injure his knee as soon as he tried a jumping kick on his rival.

McGregor slipped on the canvas a few times before Holloway got to unload a few punches on him. However, the Irishman was unable to continue after standing up and was left disappointed with the result.

This was McGregor’s third straight loss, and questions will be asked about his future. However, former UFC welterweight champion Belal Muhammad joked that this fight could have been cursed from the beginning.

Muhammad claimed that Michael Chandler cursed the fight, which led to the shambolic ending:

“Michael Chandler put a hex on this fight”

Chandler was supposed to fight McGregor in 2024 when the Irishman was scheduled to make his official comeback.

However, McGregor broke his toe before the clash, and the fight was called off. ‘Iron’ has been asking for a McGregor fight ever since, and even hinted that the pair could face off at the White House.

However, the UFC booked Chandler to face Mauricio Ruffy at UFC Freedom 250, and the American was easily defeated by the Brazilian.

Chandler still keeps talking about McGregor, and was present at UFC 329. With both names struggling, it wouldn’t be far-fetched to see them clash in the future.

For now, McGregor will need to get his knee fixed. He was coming off a huge injury against Dustin Poirier at UFC 264, and the worry could be that he will be out for a long time with this latest problem.
