The stars of the Professional Women’s Hockey League will shine bright next March when the league hosts it’s first-ever All-Star tournament.
On Thursday, September 24, the league officially announced at an event at the Hockey Hall of Fame in Toronto that the showcase event would take place on March 7, 2027, at the Scotiabank Arena in that same city. At the same time, they unveiled a logo for the tournament.

The focus of the logo is — surprise, surprise — a large bevelled star in shades of purple, matching the PWHL’s logo. Three smaller stars swirl around the large star, leaving purple and white streaks in their wake. “All-Star” is written out in a white script font, with an orange star serving as the hyphen. The PWHL logo sits above the script, while “TORONTO 2027” and the logo of sponsor Scotiabank sit below. The whole logo has an orange outline of varying width.
The All-Star tournament will feature four 10-player teams (6 forwards, 3 defenders and 1 goalie) playing 3-on-3 games: PWHL USA, PWHL Canada, PWHL Rookies and PWHL International. The teams will play a round robin, after which the third-place team will play the second-place team in the semifinal, and the winner of that game will face the first-place team in the round robin in the final.

Thursday’s announcement didn’t indicate if there was any prize or bonus for the winning team.
Starters for each team will be determined through a combination of fan, player and media voting. Reserves will be selected by PWHL officials.
The 2027 PWHL All-Star tournament will be televised on Scripps Sports and ION in the United States, and in Canada on TSN (English) and Radio-Canada (French).
PWHL players previously took part in a 3-on-3 showcase during the 2024 NHL All-Star Weekend, also held at Scotiabank Arena in Toronto.
The PWHL is welcoming four new teams for the 2026-27 season in Detroit, San Jose, Hamilton and Las Vegas, bringing the total number of teams in the league to 12. In the past, new PWHL teams have worn jerseys with their city name spelled out diagonally across the front for their inaugural season, and have waited until their second season to launch a logo and nickname.
The schedule for the 2026-27 PWHL regular season has not yet been released, but training camps are scheduled to get underway on November 18, and each team will play two preseason scrimmages between November 22 and 30.
