BREAKING: IYO SKY Appearance Canceled

IYO SKY was scheduled to meet fans ahead of WWE Money in the Bank 2026. But severe weather has forced the appearance to be called off.

Cricket Wireless had promoted a meet-and-greet with the former WWE Women’s Champion in Gretna, Louisiana, for Friday, October 9. The event was set to take place just one day before Money in the Bank at the Smoothie King Center in New Orleans, Louisiana.

However, Cricket Wireless later announced that IYO SKY’s meet-and-greet appearance had been canceled because of dangerous weather conditions in the area. Hurricane Isaias could be moving toward Louisiana, so this was a necessary precaution. Cricket Wireless announced via X:

“Due to severe weather, Friday’s WWE Superstar meet-and-greet at our Gretna, LA store has been canceled. The safety of our fans, team, and WWE talent comes first. We appreciate your understanding and hope everyone stays safe. We’ll keep you posted on future opportunities 💚”

The cancelation means fans hoping to see IYO SKY in person before the Premium Live Event will have to wait for another opportunity.

WWE Money In The Bank 2026 Matches

The weather concerns come just as WWE prepares for one of its biggest nights of the year in New Orleans. This Saturday, October 10, Roman Reigns will be defending the World Heavyweight Championship against LA Knight at Money in the Bank.

The men’s MITB ladder match features Bron Breakker, CM Punk, Je’Von Evans, Kevin Owens, Penta, and Trick Williams. For the women’s field, IYO SKY unfortunately could not qualify. But Jacy Jayne, Lash Legend, Roxanne Perez, Sol Ruca, Lola Vice, and Tiffany Stratton will compete for the MITB briefcase.

Oba Femi is also scheduled to face Bronson Reed. Last but not least, Stephanie Vaquer will defend her Women’s World Championship against Becky Lynch and Liv Morgan in a three-way showdown. Of course, the event’s final lineup could still change depending on developments before Saturday.

For now, the major question is whether the worsening weather will create any additional problems for WWE Money in the Bank 2026. The IYO SKY meet-and-greet cancelation shows that officials are already taking the situation seriously.
