Charlotte Flair reveals why she started her own podcast
Recently, the Queen announced that she, along with her friend Ashley Fliher have started a new podcast, and it will launch soon. During her recent appearance on Set, Hut! with Russell Wilson and Kyle Long, Charlotte Flair revealed that the podcast will be named Off The Pedestal.
Flair also revealed the real reason why she chose to start her own podcast.
“Not that I woke up one day and was like, ‘Man, I really wanna have a podcast,’ because everyone has a podcast. But I wanted to create a space for athletes where we can kind of talk about these conversations that I think necessarily haven’t been, what’s the word, comfortable to talk about,” she said.
The Queen also shared that her knee injury had helped her reflect on her life and changed the way she looks at the world.
“Where, like, ‘Hey, I’ve gone through body dysmorphia, I’ve gone through self-worth issues, I’ve gone through what it means to be at the top and the pressures,’ and what that did to me mentally and emotionally and putting myself to the side. When you’re at the top, you never want to not be at the top. But for me, hurting my knee brought me down here, which I was like, ‘OK, I needed that dip to get back to here,’ and that’s why I’m doing that podcast,” she added.
This past weekend, Charlotte Flair was set to team up with Tatum Paxley to challenge for the Women’s Tag Team Championship. But due to an attack by Jade Cargill and her faction, Flair was forced to sit out of the match. The Queen asked Alexa Bliss to take the spot, and both Bliss and Tatum Paxley managed to win the match and become the new Women’s Tag Team Champions.
