Mega Roman Reigns Match Not Happening At WWE Survivor Series: WarGames 2026

WWE World Heavyweight Champion Roman Reigns has silenced his critics who called him out over his part-time status. After another successful title defense, the OTC is now scheduled for two more premium live events as 2026 draws to a close.

Roman Reigns defeated LA Knight to retain his World Heavyweight Title at Money in the Bank 2026. After the show, Oba Femi called him out once again, asking the Tribal Chief to stop running from him.

A feud between the two men has been brewing since WrestleMania 42 when Roman Reigns captured the gold from CM Punk. Rumor has it that WWE is saving this match for WrestleMania 43 in Saudi Arabia, assuming The Rock doesn’t come back.

However, Oba Femi’s comments during the Money in the Bank post-show left some fans wondering whether the Triple H-led creative is fast-tracking its plans.

According to Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer, Oba Femi was simply responding to New Orleans fans and that he wasn’t teasing an imminent showdown.

“At the post-show, Oba did his interview talking about Roman Reigns and made it sound like it was imminent and not at WrestleMania. So what I was told is that he was reacting to the crowd and thought that that’s what he should do because the crowd was really into it. But the match is not scheduled for Survivor Series. Obviously, Roman’s gonna be in the 10-man WarGames.”

The plans are still in place for The Ruler and The OTC to clash for the World Heavyweight Title at WrestleMania 43 next year.

“The plan is WrestleMania. But he just got excited because the fans all wanted it and he had to respond. And he did, but by responding, he said, ‘I want that title.’ It makes everyone think, oh, he’s gonna get the title shot in the next pay-per-view cycle, which obviously he is not.” (H/T – Wrestlepurists)

What’s next for Oba Femi and Roman Reigns after Money in the Bank 2026?

Roman Reigns was nowhere to be seen during The Bloodline vs. 946 six-man tag team match on RAW after Money in the Bank.

The OTC is now set to return next week to address his Crown Jewel opponent, Sami Zayn. The two men will run it back for the Crown Jewel Championship on November 7, 2026.

As for Oba Femi, the Ruler has put the Vision behind him after defeating Bronson Reed at Money in the Bank. Earlier this week, Paul Heyman tried to align himself with Oba Femi, but the Nigerian Ruler turned him down and showed no interest in becoming the Next Paul Heyman Guy.

WWE appears to be teasing a program between Oba Femi and Paul Heyman. But who will step up to The Ruler next? Fans must stay tuned to find out.
