Barbra Streisand accepted her lifetime achievement honor on the thirtieth annual Screen Actors Guild Awards on Saturday with what appeared like an acknowledgment of the present world scenario. Noting that Hollywood was constructed by studio chiefs like Samuel Goldwyn and Louis B. Mayer, males who fled antisemitism in Japanese Europe, she stated, “Now I dream of a world where such prejudice is a thing of the past.”
