AEW megastar points enormous problem to Kevin Owens amid his WWE hiatus

A former AEW champion called out Kevin Owens for a major challenge during his hiatus. The former Universal Champion was on a great run of his career in 2025, where he challenged for championships and was involved in high-intensity feuds. Unfortunately, he injured his neck ahead of WrestleMania 41 and therefore had to undergo surgery in March 2025. He is yet to return to TV. A top AEW star challenged him recently.

Rebel, one of the most beloved AEW stars, is diagnosed wth ALS. Recently, influencers on social media started an ‘Ice Bucket Challenge’ to collect donations and create awareness for the disease. So far, Britt Baker, Renee Paquette and many other stars have completed the challenge for Rebel.

Recently, the Young Bucks performed the challenge on their recent blog. They were nominated by Dr D.M.D. Matt Jackson completed the task and nominated Kevin Owens, the Good Brothers and Candice LeRae. Nick Jackson also did the challenge.

First and foremost, one of my favorite actors, Ken Jeong, one of my best friends in the business, Kevin Owens, one of my favorite tag teams of all time, The Good Brothers, and Carl Anderson specifically, Sour Boy, and finally, Candice LeRae, one of my favorite female wrestlers of all time,” he said. Kevin Owens reacted to Sami Zayn’s title win

Sami Zayn won the WWE Championship at Night of Champions. Unfortunately, he lost it in just a few days.

When Sami was the champion, Kevin Owens took to X and claimed that the Last Good Guy winning the championship was inevitable.

“I’ve missed a lot of things I wish I hadn’t in the last 15 months because of this injury but today is, by far, the one I wish I had been there for the most. He has brought out the best in me as both an ally and a foe. That’s because he is THE best. When you’re consistently that good for that long, you become undeniable. Sami becoming WWE Champion was inevitable. He has deserved that moment for a very long time and I am so happy to see him finally get it,” he wrote.

It will be interesting to see when Kevin Owens will return to WWE.
