The Veil features a Race system that forms the foundation of your build. Each Race offers an assortment of passive bonuses that inform the direction and effectiveness of your build. Certain Races offer bonuses geared towards dealing damage, while others focus on defenses or item drops. As of the game’s initial release, there are a total of 10 unique Races for you to choose from.
This guide goes over all Races in The Veil, exploring the various Race-specific abilities and how to reroll them.
Every Race in The Veil

Upon starting the game, you will be randomly assigned a Race, which typically belongs to the Common or Uncommon rarity. You can change your Race through Race Rerolls, which you can get as quest rewards, code redemptions, boss battle loot, Daily Rewards or in-game premium purchases. Race Rerolls randomly assign you a Race from the game’s selection of 10, meaning the odds of getting the one you want can be fairly slim.
Races are segregated into five rarities: Common, Uncommon, Rare, Elite, and Legendary. The rarity informs how potent the bonuses offered by a Race are; the higher the rarity, the better the bonuses. High-rarity Races are also much rarer to get upon performing a reroll, meaning you will need more Race Rerolls if you wish to get the best possible Race.
