Canada’s Assisted Suicide Laws Go Overboard, as Godless Doctors Renew Push To Euthanize Newborn Babies * The Gateway Pundit * by Paul Serran

The culture of death has totally engulfed Canada.

Canada’s assisted suicide are rapidly (and disturbingly) expanded in recent years, with 5% of the deaths in the country currently due to MAiD (Medical Assistance in Dying).

The demand for euthanasia in Canada is so high that doctors who provide it reportedly cannot keep up.

Now, a group of godless Canadian doctors is again pushing for euthanizing disabled newborn babies.

“As assisted deaths have become a major part of Canada’s health care system, the Quebec College of Physicians suggested legalizing euthanasia for infants born severely ill.

As The Atlantic noted, the practice is legal in the Netherlands – the first country to adopt it since Nazi Germany did it in 1939.

In 2022, Louis Roy from the Quebec College of Physicians raised the notion of euthanasia for babies up to a year old ‘who are born with severe deformations, very grave and severe medical syndromes, whose life expectancy and level of suffering are such that it would make sense to ensure that they do not suffer’.”

“The college first pushed the idea in 2022, when Dr. Louis Roy appeared before Parliament’s Special Joint Committee on Medical Assistance in Dying. Roy said MAID could be considered for “babies from birth to one year of age” born with severe deformities or disabilities.

He described infants ‘who are born with severe deformations, very grave and severe medical syndromes, whose life expectancy and level of suffering are such that it would make sense to ensure that they do not suffer’.

[…] The public reaction in 2022 was immediate. Then-Liberal Disabilities Minister Carla Qualtrough rejected the idea on CBC Radio. ‘There is no world where I would accept that’, she said.”
