Dominik Mysterio is set for one of the biggest matches of his career at one of the year’s biggest wrestling events. The Judgment Day member will be defending his AAA Mega World Championship at the TripleMania 34 Premium Live Event against El Grande Americano. Mysterio looked to utilize the help of Omos to retain his title. But with the Nigerian Giant still suspended on AAA television, Dirty Dom has to change his plans for the TripleMania 34 main event.
Earlier tonight was the AAA Ola De Calor special event. During the show, both ‘Dirty’ Dominik Mysterio and El Grande Americano had the official contract signing for their upcoming AAA Mega World Championship match at the TripleMania 34 PLE. During the signing, Mysterio was deeply concerned about the Nigerian Giant, who was still suspended from AAA Lucha Libre. Mysterio asked Dorian Roldan about Omos. Roldan confirmed that the former RAW Tag Team Champion is still suspended but assured that he will talk to the General Manager of AAA Lucha Libre, Rey Mysterio, about lifting the suspension.
Thanks for the submission!
This did not sit well with the AAA Mega World Champion. He swiftly picked up his phone, made a call, and told the person on the phone that they needed to go with ‘Plan B.’
“Seems like Dominik Mysterio has a plan to take care of El Grande Americano during today’s contract signing for AAA Mega Title at AAA Ola de Calor,” The Squared Times tweeted.
The promotion’s GM, Rey Mysterio, mentioned that he would not be lifting Omos’ suspension. At this moment, Omos came out from the crowd and started to attack the WWE Hall of Famer. Following this, Rey Mysterio challenged the Nigerian Giant to a match at TripleMania 34. If Omos wins, then his suspension will be lifted.
TripleMania 34 is set to take place over two nights, with Night 1 taking place on September 11th in Las Vegas, and Night 2 taking place on September 13th in Mexico.
