Dominik Mysterio Officially Confirms WWE Status For Clash In Italy; Addresses ‘Demon’ Finn Balor

WWE Clash in Italy is set to take place on May 31 at the Inalpi Arena, and Dominik Mysterio addressed his status for the premium live event. The Judgment Day member also opened up about the possibility of facing Finn Balor’s Demon persona once again.

The tension between Dom and Finn Balor had been building for nearly two years, but the breaking point came when Balor cost Mysterio his Intercontinental Championship in a match against Penta. The Judgment Day then turned on Balor, kicking him out of the group on the March 9 episode of RAW.

That betrayal eventually led to a major singles showdown between Dominik and Balor at WrestleMania 42, where the former Universal Champion brought back The Demon persona for the first time since WrestleMania 39. The Demon beat Dominik with a Coup de Grace through a table in a Street Fight on Night Two. Since then, Finn Balor has continued targeting Dominik and the rest of The Judgment Day, teasing that he is far from finished with the group.

While speaking to Esse Magazine recently, Dominik said he would love to compete at Clash in Italy and made it clear that he wants another shot at the former WWE Universal Champion.

“I mean, of course, I would love to be in Clash in Italy. You know, I’d love to get my look back against Finn Balor, especially the Demon. But at the end of the day, it is what it is. I’ve beaten Finn Balor in the past. The Demon is obviously where he had to go in order to beat me. So I’m not too worried about him,” said Dom Dom.

When asked about whether the Demon is as scary as it seems, Dominik Mysterio admitted that facing the Demon is completely different from stepping into the ring with the regular Finn Balor.

“Yeah, yeah, it’s pretty scary just because it’s not the normal Finn Balor that you’re used to, that you can talk to and, like, you know, be like, hey, don’t do this. Like, there’s no talking in the Demon. The Demon has one mindset, and that’s to kill, you know? So, it was definitely a different environment going in there, against The Demon.”

Dominik Mysterio questioned his current WWE booking

Dominik Mysterio is seemingly not happy with WWE and recently questioned his current booking in the sports entertainment juggernaut.

Speaking in the same interview with Esse Magazine, the AAA Mega Champion said WWE is holding him back and doesn’t know what to do with him.

“I don’t think they know what to do with me. I’m too cool. They have lightning in a bottle and they have no idea what to do with it, so they’re just letting it sit. I’m just waiting. I could have all the storylines, but like I said, they don’t know what to do with me. I’m too good. I’m lightning in a bottle. They’re holding me. I don’t know [what WWE is waiting for]. Like I said, I’ve beaten John Cena. I’ve beaten AJ Styles. Beaten Rey Mysterio. Beaten Damian Priest. I don’t know what they’re waiting for,” he said.

It will be interesting to see what WWE has planned for The Judgment Day member in the coming weeks and if he will face The Demon again.
