GTA 6 Extended Look has already amassed a whopping 31,100,000 views on Netflix. Millions of fans have been eagerly waiting for gameplay footage, and the figures clearly reflect it. Surprisingly, the Netflix premiere accrued more views than the YouTube release.
Here are more details about GTA 6 Extended Look metrics a week after its release.
GTA 6 Extended Look topped Netflix charts with 31 million views in a week
Netflix released a blog post on its official website on September 2, 2026, revealing GTA 6 Extended Look figures a week after its release. The OTT platform confirmed that the gameplay showcase was watched 31,100,000 times and it hit No. 1 in 87 of the 93 countries it tracks globally. The countries include the US, UK, Australia, Spain, Germany, Belgium, Brazil, Italy, Singapore, and others.
On the official Top 10 website, the Extended Look also tops the global top 10 movies charts.
The OTT platform had a six-hour exclusivity deal with Rockstar Games, allowing it to showcase the Extended Look exclusively on the platform for six hours. It was then also released on the game company’s official YouTube channel.

Even though GTA 6 Extended Look on YouTube is free to watch, it has only amassed around 17,700,000 views, compared to Netflix’s 31,100,000. Many hardcore fans must have also downloaded the video directly from Rockstar Games’ website.
The blog then went on to explain that the video was recorded entirely on a base PS5 and how it was an extremely in-depth look at the title.
Before the GTA 6 Extended Look, the OTT platform’s VP of Nonfiction Series, Brandon Riegg, spoke about the game’s massive scale and global hype. In a blog post, he said the platform is “honored” to be able to showcase its gameplay for the first time.
Here’s what he said:
“Grand Theft Auto reveals have become cultural moments in their own right. The anticipation and fandom around Grand Theft Auto VI is unprecedented, and we’re honored that Rockstar Games has partnered with us to debut the next part of the Grand Theft Auto story with Netflix members first.”
The game is set to launch on PS5, PS5 Pro, and XBOX Series X|S on November 19, 2026. Pre-orders are now live on console and third-party digital stores.
