BTS’ Jungkook marked his birthday with a heartfelt interaction with a fan during the group’s SoFi Stadium Day 1 concert on September 1. The performance was part of BTS’ ongoing ARIRANG World Tour, and the members took a moment during the show to celebrate Jungkook’s special day with the audience.
As the entire stadium joined BTS in singing “Happy Birthday” to Jungkook, Jin brought out a silver crown made from balloons and placed it on the birthday boy’s head. The members continued the celebration before moving on with the concert.
However, shortly after the birthday segment ended, Jungkook was seen heading toward the barricade. He approached a female fan seated in a wheelchair and briefly stopped before reaching her. The singer then removed the outer T-shirt he was wearing and jumped down from the stage.
Jungkook then walked toward the section where the fan was seated and reached over the barricade to place the silver birthday crown on her head. He also handed her the T-shirt he had taken off. The fan appeared overwhelmed as she received the gifts, while Jungkook soon returned to the stage and rejoined the other BTS members for the remainder of the performance.
Videos capturing the interaction from different areas of the stadium by attending fans quickly circulated across social media. Fans shared the clips while praising Jungkook for the gesture, particularly his decision to give the fan both the crown he had received during his birthday celebration and the T-shirt he had been wearing.
The moment prompted numerous affectionate reactions from ARMY, with fans highlighting Jungkook’s generosity and thoughtfulness toward the concertgoer. One fan wrote,

Fans called Jungkook an “angel,” praising his kindness and saying the gesture likely made the fan’s night. Many were touched by his respectful gesture after placing the crown on her head.

BTS turned Jungkook’s 29th birthday into a day-long celebration during the first SoFi Stadium concert. The members and ARMY marked the occasion through several surprises.
The birthday festivities began before the main show during soundcheck. The BTS members sang “Happy Birthday” to Jungkook, with fans inside the stadium joining in. Jungkook was seen smiling as the birthday wishes echoed through the venue.
The celebrations continued backstage after soundcheck, with j-hope sharing a video from the members’ private birthday gathering. Jungkook was surrounded by the other members, balloons, and decorations.
V held his hands while RM playfully pushed a large rabbit-shaped balloon toward him, prompting laughter from the group. j-hope could also be heard repeatedly wishing Jungkook a happy birthday and calling him “bro.”
The members later presented Jungkook with a two-tiered white birthday cake featuring gem-like decorations. After Jimin encouraged him to make a wish, Jungkook blew out the candles as the members continued celebrating around him.
His birthday was also acknowledged during the main concert. Before BTS performed FYA, V called out a birthday message for Jungkook, adding another celebratory moment to the show.
Another memorable surprise came during Jungkook’s ending ment. Fans organized a special project in which they covered their phone flashlights with golden stickers, transforming the stadium into a sea of golden lights while Jungkook spoke to the audience.
The sight appeared to move Jungkook as he looked out at the golden ocean created by fans. Speaking about celebrating his birthday with ARMY, he said he had assumed that stage surprises might no longer happen after so many years of BTS’ career.
Honestly, because we are so many years into our career now, I thought there wouldn’t be things like surprise events for me on stage anymore, but here it is,” Jungkook said.
He also admitted that he had secretly anticipated that fans might have something planned, although he tried not to expect it.
Deep down, I was kind of expecting something, but then I tried not to expect anything… yet receiving an event like this makes me feel extremely good and so happy,” he added.
The September 1 concert was the start of BTS’ four-show engagement at SoFi Stadium. The group is scheduled to perform three additional shows in Los Angeles on September 2, 5 and 6, which will conclude the North American leg of the ARIRANG World Tour.
Following the North American dates, BTS are scheduled to take the tour to Latin America in October. The announced itinerary includes performances in Bogotá, Lima, Santiago, Buenos Aires and São Paulo.
