The Republican-led Home Guidelines Committee on Monday voted 8-4 to ship an impeachment case in opposition to Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas to the total chamber for a vote.
A vote on the articles of impeachment within the Home – which Republicans maintain by a slim margin – may come as early as Tuesday.

The decision affirms that Mayorkas “has willfully and systematically refused to comply with Federal immigration laws” by having repeatedly violated legal guidelines enacted by Congress relating to immigration and border safety throughout his tenure.
